Amazing stay! My wife and I loved everything about this place!

Very comfortable cottage with nothing missing. Wonderful sauna and shower, so nice to relax in. Comfortable bed and great kitchen for cooking. Easy check in. Quiet and private, close to Hwy 1.

We loved the cottage and it‘s surrounding. It is remote but still not that out in the nowhere with lovely birds around and if you are lucky, with aurora nights as well :) The house is perfectly cozy with the nice amenities mentioned in the title. We stayed for 2 weeks and would definitely book it again: it was a perfect match!

The home was easy to locate, near town for quick trips to grocery store. Extremely clean and well appointed. Make sure you understand that bathhouse means the shower is in a building not attached to main house. Bringing robes and flip flops would help. We had a lot of laughter running from bathhouse to main house in the snow and sleet. Many great experiences and memories were made here. Would definitely stay again upon a return trip.

This place is a lovely cottage for prime Northern Lights viewing. Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed the cottage, hot tub and surrounding highlights. We were fortunate to see the Northern Lights from the hot tub three of our four nights. The kitchen was stocked enough for cooking full meals, the beds are very comfortable, the bathroom floors are heated. The outdoor sauna is also great.

The host couldnt of been more helpful and the cabin was just perfect. We loved the hot tub and sauna was such a treat. Memories that will last a lifetime made here :)

This home experience was perfect. Great communication with the owner, easy check-in and out, we used the sauna and hot-tub almost every evening, and we saw the Aurora Borealis on 3 evenings : ) A very comfortable home for our family of 6 and a great location to see all of the usual sights in the south and also up to the Geyser and Laugarvatn Spa. If we ever have the opportunity to visit Iceland again we'd certainly stay here again!

Nice cottage with all facilities

We absolutely loved this beautiful place! The house was perfect for my kids and I to come home to after a long day of adventures and relax. It was set up with everything we could need and very comfy to hang out in when we needed down time. Highly recommend!

The location worked out well. The house was clean and cozy. Having a gor tube and sauna was a bonus! We would come back for sure.

Great home with nice outdoor space. The stairs to get to the upstairs loft are very steep and ceiling low. Best for kids and no window covering for summer. It should be noted that to access the shower you need to go outside to the sauna house. Overall we enjoyed our stay and great amenities.

This is an excellent home away from home perfectly located to so many Icelandic adventures and very comfortable! We experienced super busy days and cozy nights in the hot tub, cooking dinner and playing games! Hope one day we can come back!!

This place is a must stay! It had everything you would need for a jump off point to explore Iceland. You can’t beat the location and the sauna is such a perk! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Very comfortable, well-equipped rental property, with luxury features, hot tub and sauna. Private and secluded. Owner very communicative and flexible. Good selection of interesting and useful books on Iceland. Highly recommended. The area is not itself enormously scenic but it is centrally located so you can visit many interesting sights with a relatively short car journey.

This was such a great spot! It feels so remote, but very convenient to the Ring Road. We loved sitting in the hot tub in the evenings listening to the birds and looking for Northern Lights. Our kids enjoyed running around the yard and exploring the amazing gorge behind the home. The views of Hekla are beautiful! It was a perfect home base for exploring the south coast from Reykjavik to Vik. Very cozy home and well-stocked kitchen, Arnar even left us some Easter chocolates and a couple of beers in the fridge! He was very attentive. I would say it might be a bit tricky to find the house in the dark, but we had no issues and check-in was very simple. We loved our stay here!

The house had everything you could need and was had enough space for a family of 4 ( kids 17 and 19). The bathhouse/ sauna and jacuzzi were a definite hit! When we had issues with our departure date, Arnarson was very accommodating and allowed us to add a night at the last minute and he was very gracious about it. We will be recommending his home to our friends and family!

The house was comfortable after a long cold day of hiking. We enjoyed the sauna and hot tub! One half bath inside and full bathroom was outside but not a problem. It was close to groceries, gas and wine!

Great accommodation, would highly recommend. The owner Arnar was really helpful, gave us some great advice and helped out with the loan of a 4x4 when we were hit by a severe winter storm. We used the home as a base from which to explore south west Iceland. Great coffee machine as well.

This cottage was very good, gives space to at least 5-6 persons easily. The Sauna and the Hot Tub were a very good thing after the excursions and as well all inside the cottage was well organized and prepared. On top of it the host Arnar was always available for questions and the like. Renting of this cottage is highly recommended from my side…😊

This property was exactly what we were looking for. It's close enough to grocery stores, the wine shop, the gas station. But far enough away that the stars and northern lights are bright, and city sounds are distant. We cooked almost every meal, and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. My wife had to work some, and the wifi is strong enough for streaming and for video calls. I really loved our nine nights there, and Arnar was communicative when I had a question about the hot tub. It's really special, and I hope to someday make it back.

Secluded yet close to many amenities such as food and attractions such as the Lava Centre. This house is a great home base for visiting sights in south Iceland (Selfoss to Vik) and the Golden Circle. The house was immaculate! Clean, organized and staged very well for arrival. It was perfect for aurora viewing! My wife and I stayed up in the loft which has a large window with a view of the north. It was awesome to be able to check from inside if there was auroral activity instead of having to go out in the cold. We saw our best display of the northern lights in this house due to a lack of light noise from the surrounding area. The owner was very responsive to questions or issues that came up. He made sure the road was cleared before our arrival. We would have been in trouble if he hadn't. We still had a hard time getting in and out with our 4x4. The only complaint I have is that I wish it was more clear in the property description that the shower is out in the separate sauna building. We had to walk through snow on the deck to get there to take showers. Even with this inconvenience I totally recommend this home.

This was a fantastic holiday lodge in the middle of the countryside with only a few other lodges in the area, very well equipped, watch the hot tub temperature as it can get too hot, even when it’s -9c outside. This lodge is remote and would recommend picking up groceries en route, there are a good selection of seasonings and basic house hold cleaning products, gas bbq on the deck in the evening was brilliant. Would we stay again? YES no hesitation.Thank you Arnar
