Our family (6) spent Thanksgiving at SML. The house was nice and the views were beautiful! Deer were constantly roaming the yard. The large deck and dock had great seating. Wish we had better temps to enjoy sitting outside more but plenty of windows to enjoy the views indoors too. We spent a lot of time watching football in the living room. Despite being a home for 6, this room didn’t fit us well. Even with squeezing in another chair, we were tight. But if you are visiting in the summer your time will be spent outside! The home had plenty of bedrooms for our family, but kids said the downstairs beds were uncomfortable. The one thing that would keep me from renting this home again is the property management company. Upon arrival the house was cold and we had trouble finding the thermostat. It took two hours and repeated follow-up to get someone to tell us that the thermostat is locked and guests can’t change it. When I said it was too cold and that’s not acceptable, they asked what the temperature was set at. Seriously?!? Eventually I received a call from the local team who quickly explained where it was hiding. It all worked out but was a very frustrating start to our trip. Also, they only provided 2 dishwasher detergent packets for a four night stay. We’ve rented many homes and never had to purchase dishwasher detergent. Please provide enough for your guest’s visit. I know this is long, but I rely heavily on reviews when booking and this is all info I would want to know.

The kitchen was very equipped with everything. We might say the can opener was hard to use. Beautiful view of the lake . The deck was great .

The view was amazing, the dock was a great place to hang out and watch the boats go by. House was STOCKED with cooking utensils that was very helpful and felt like a home - not a rental house.

This home was perfect for our family of four. It was clean and had everything that we needed. The location is perfect, in its own little inlet but close to the main channel of the lake. We also loved the covered boat dock area. We highly recommend this home!

Our son graduated from college in Lynchburg and we wanted to it turn into a family vacation. The house and location was perfect. Very clean, quite, equipped with everything we needed, and the property location on Smith Mountain Lake was breathtaking. Great sunsets, utilized the kayak’s, rented jet ski’s and fished off the deck. Even saw three deer grazing in the yard. What an awesome experience. Would highly recommend. Thank you for one of our best vacations ever!

Grate place and grate location, we really enjoyed it

House was very nice, location was great, dock and water access was very nice, house layout and amenities were just right. Overall a wonderful place to stay, we would definitely stay there again! Lack of cleanliness is not on the owner, spent 2 hours post arrival cleaning it ourselves.

Great location. Convenient to shop for groceries and dine out. Rooms were well layed out and beds were fine. Floor plan was conducive for multi purpose activities and provided privacy for differing age groups and agendas. House provided everything we could expect for a relaxing lake vacation.
