The surroundings are very nice, and we could see turkeys, a deer and squirrels. The place is incredibly peaceful and sitting down in the porch is a pleasure -- except when the mosquitos rain in :-(. The house is incredibly spacious, the kitchen is wonderful and fully equipped, good to plan to eat in. The air conditioning works very well! It is noisy but far from the bedrooms so it can be left on if the evening is too hot. We appreciated the Yosemite valley maps and information available in the house.

We did try to take a walk up the road, but it seemed like there was no footpath where walking was allowed. It became a bit frustrating. It is a 2 hr drive to Yosemite Valley, specially for the morning drive; the way back was slightly faster.

We used the keypad on the front door. The location is close to Bass Lake and Yosemite with stores close enough to pick up anything you may forget. It is an older mobile home but it has some updates and the decor is really cute. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with pots and pans, etc. There is NOT a crock pot. There is a brand new washer and dryer. The BBQ had propane with a new tank standing by. They provide about 4 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, small qualities of dishwasher tabs and laundry tabs, paper towels and trash bags.

We were not allowed to enter the property early after traveling over 5 hours to get there. We did not know that it had a swamp cooler and it was very hot inside upon arrival. The swamp cooler blows everything off the dining room table so you can't enjoy your dinner with it running. The master bedroom ceiling fan light cord was broken so there was only a night table lamp or the bathroom light. There is a swivel fan on the dresser and the swamp cooler tries really hard to reach the room but it takes until late into the night.

Location, very private. The house was large and comfortable. Two bathrooms. Bed was comfy. Lots of opportunities to see wildlife. Has laundry facilities.

There were no basic condiments in the kitchen. A/C in living room, difficult to get the cold air into the bedrooms.

the address was wrong, we called and were sent on a wild goose chase. There are TWO lock boxes, the most apparent one didn't open, the correct one was at the other end of the dark porch, we didn't see that til we returned 45 minutes later no salt and pepper, could have basic condiments, Keurig didn't work, but we found reg. coffee maker (which I prefer anyway) could have info on Yosemite, which I wound up leaving maps and flyers, etc
