It was nice and clean and very close to cute little shops.

Could have used a blow dryer and the bed is very hard.

I'm so grateful! I'm also so sorry I didn't follow the rules (yikes). I was supposed to take out my trash, I believe. I also left a used cup in the sink. Anyway, I really loved having my own place during this vacation. It was so cozy, quiet, comfortable, spacious, and had everything I needed. Really no complaints.

I have nothing to complain about that wouldn't be unreasonable or unneccessary to complain about.

Spacious property and close to tourist area

No air conditioning in the bedroom, just a wall unit in the living room, didn't reach down the long hallway. The patio was very dark, while shrubbery gave privacy, made the living room very dark

The pool was good. The unit has beach toys. It was comfortable but only about 3 stars. The air conditioner worked well. The mattress was firm and pillows great. The blockout drapes worked. Adequate linen. There are restaurants nearby in walking distance. The welcome basket is a nice touch.

Kalanakai 112 is not a bad unit, it just isn’t as appealing as the photos on the website and has a few major issues. Contact with the leasing agent (Vacasa)regarding issues was the downer. Things go wrong but how they are dealt with is what’s important. It was good to have Booking. Com to help us out. Our first glance of this condo was a screen door that was open- we realised this was because it wouldn’t close nor lock. On entering the condo it was very dated. The carpet (not the most suitable flooring for a beach condo) was brown speckled in colour and added to the dull appearance. In the photos on the website the unit is bright and airy. In real life this level of light was only achievable with all the electric lights on. Then we explored. The blinds on the balcony would not go up. This meant heat was trapped in and we couldn’t see the lovely garden outside. I had seen this issue referred to in an April review on Booking.com but assumed that in six months that would have been repaired-not the case. The kitchen was lacking in appeal. Cupboards worked but again it was jaded in appearance. We only used a pair of glasses and 2 plates so I can’t comment on functionality. At the end of the bed ( what I think may have been left behind from a prior bed head maybe) were two metal protrusions. They were potential danger were one to brush against the sharp edges. There were minor things, like the back of the bathroom door at the base had chipped wood. Minor as I say, but it does detract from the appearance and to some that may be important. A small booklet in the unit would be helpful to explain the keys in the bowl were for the swimming pool and the garbage depot. If you have a car, the space is at the front of the condo block, but the unit right up towards the back. It’s a walk up the driveway and it’s sloped. Not the units fault, but it does impact. There are a lot of homeless people that congregate around the area.

The swimming pool, landscaping, and location could not have been better. Even the sofa bed was comfortable. Very nice to have beach stuff fins, snorkels, masks, boogie board, cooler, chairs. Also nice to have laundry facilities and cooking facilities to help economize. I enjoyed listening to exotic birds walking to our car. Lots of independent cats around town, one visited us by the pool. Overhead fans were nice to generate a gentle breeze.

It would have been nice if the bamboo shades on the Lanai were functional and were room darkening for privacy. The bathroom fan should be replaced with a quiet one. Trim and hinges could use a touch up. We were missing a large bowl for salad, so we bought one and left it behind for future guests. There were some ants. I have trouble with these at home as well, which we kept at bay by wiping down surfaces with vinegar.
