The location is excellent. The host was reachable by phone and text.

The property wasn’t suitable for our needs. We were appalled to find a box of ammunition in the master bathroom drawer. We felt uneasy about our security with a door to the outside that would not stay closed, even when locked. The kitchen was not equipped for preparing meals - there were no mixing bowls, no serving bowls, no sink stopper. The taste of the water was unpleasant; there was a water dispenser but no water in it. The tile floors were grimy despite being mopped when we arrived. The interior of the freezer had significant rust. We booked and paid in advance for the property for 5 nights. We stayed 2 nights and had to leave midway through a 21 hour power outage. We had to drive 90 miles for another place to stay and needed to find gas for our vehicle. The power went out from 10 p.m. Tuesday night to 7 p.m. Wednesday. There was a significant storm with major winds, knocking down power lines, uprooting trees, closing roads. Stores, gas stations and restaurants had no power and couldn’t open. There was no certainty about when power would be restored. We had limited battery power for our electronics, limited food, no heat, no WiFi and limited cell phone coverage (text only). We chose to leave due to the circumstances.
