The location, size & price. Great family unit.
Lady at reception at check-in was nice.
Appreciated that fresh milk was provided instead of UHT milk.
Unfortunately, there was a big puddle of water on kitchen floor, fridge door was open, perhaps it was being defrosted? We cleaned it up & all was good.
The property is right next to the motorway & right on plan flight path, which bothered my husband. He forgot his earplugs & says he couldn't sleep.

I like the location and the updated downstairs bathroom
There is a lot to list that I did not like, but I'll try to keep it short.
I paid $396 for two adults and one 14 year old. The sliding door was drafty, and as with Wellington, it was blowing a gale, so the door was rattling, and even though all doors and windows were closed, it was blowing a breeze through the bottom floor. My husband ended up securing the door with a wadded up bit of toilet paper but that meant we couldn't go in and out onto the balcony directly through our room and had to go right around which was an inconvenience.
The kitchen sink was in fact a laundry tub, as my husband is a plumber he knew the difference while strictly not a problem it is a bit of a snub seeing as we paid nearly $400 and you couldn't even use the correct sink.
The decor was very antiquated, and although it was clean, it smelled like it had been closed up for 10 years.
The spa bath was a hazard as there was no railing to step down into it and it was a very deep spa bath if my husband was not there to steady me I was likely to have an accident.
The staff were lovely, but I didn't pay $400 for good smiles. I at least expected not to have to perform my own handyman fixes on the sliding door!

There was no landline in the room, enough toilet rolls or tissues to accommodate the number of guests in room nor air-conditioning.

We asked for family room and saw it was spacious online, but we were very squashed in a small room with a fold out bed.

Lovely staff, great attached restaurant and bar.
Dated interior but comfortable and clean.

Look great
At the corner of motorway hard turn for big vehicle, there was strange smell from toilet.

Location was perfect, nearby the places we needed to go and be. great space, warm and cozy.
spa bath leaked through roof.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Beds warm and comfortable.
Not enough cutlery even for 4 people and barely enough crockery. Pots were unclean and part filled with dirty water (leaking sink?). No control knob for one of the 2 cooktop elements. Broken towel rail, broken suitcase rack/stand. Not enough bath towels supplied (3 for 4 guests) and only 1 tea towel. Fridge tiny - more like a bar fridge than for family of 4. Poor security due to broken ranch slider handle and deadbolt with no key. Not good value for cost.

Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Both floor of our rooms had an onsuite which is good so we did not need to fight for toilets. The receptionist was nice to give us a little room to repack our luggage as well due to our ferry being cancelled on our day of check out.
Near the highway and car noises. The toilet upstairs ran on pump so it was quite noisy for the people im the room below. Kitchen utilities coule be better.

The location just off the motorway is excellent. And a short 15 min commute to te ferries. Perfect for a night stay prior to catching an early morning ferry.
Some double glazing or similar to reduce motorway noise would be great.

The staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. The bathroom was clean and tidy.
The room was very noisy right next to the motorway and under the flight path. The room felt dirty and there were large stains on the bedspread and couch. The door to the balcony didn't feel safe.

The motel is certainly the most convenient for access to and from the Ferries. Plenty of easy onsite parking.
We arrived hours before booking in time owing to the Interislander Ferry booking us on to an early morning ferry because of breakdowns, the staff, the receptionist and cleaning staff made sure we were welcome and the room was ready.
There is plenty of onsite easy access parking.
The room service for meals was very good.
Apart from inconsiderate truck drivers a real haven after a very stressful few days.
Double glazing on the windows facing the motorway is REALLY needed, the lack of it is disapointing, also there should be a ban on truck drivers using their airbrakes not just because of the motel but for the sake of all residents in the area.

That we arrived at 4pm an our room hadn't been cleaned yet so we had to wait 20 minutes for it to be sorted

we booked a family room for 5 people and it was gorgeous! loads of space, really comfy beds, and really lovely bathroom
it’s quite difficult to get into wellington city without having a car of your own
our group ended up ordering Ubers every time we needed to go into the city and it got expensive quick

The view over the city was worth what I paid. The beautiful Fijian lady on reception was very friendly and helpful.
The spa bath was just what I needed.
The cleaness of the room was not great, there was old rubbish left in one of the bins. Toilet started to get blocked up and simple things like taps, door handles where loose and just need a bit more care.
