Overall good service. Clean, warm comfortable room. Daily cleaning, changing of towels, topping up of refreshments. Fridge in room also a bonus. Central location. Free parking. Good value. Single rooms in house across road from main building. Food available in bar (advise booking if a weekend), plenty cafes, restaurants within walking distance. Only downside, for some reason bathroom bin had not been emptied from previous customer & wasn't emptied throughout 3 night stay.

Staff were fantastic and could not do enough, I will stay here regularly going forward. Only blemish was a customer complaining to staff rooms were not good enough etc, but unfortunately you get these parasites. If she has left a bad review please ignore as not accurate

Stopped over night here. Close to carnouskie golf course. Very clean. Great bar/restaurant attached. Staff were very friendly.

Comfortable clean single room. My 'go to' hotel now when staying in Carnoustie. Very good value accommodation. Breakfast & meals available daily at additional cost. Bar. Free parking. Central location, close to shops, restaurants, beach, golf. Also close to train station & bus routes.

Great hotel only thing that lets it down are the cracked floor tiles in the bathroom. Otherwise best nights sleep I've had in months

It was ok. our ground floor room view of disused hall and by pavement.although not noisy. Did not eat there so cannot comment. Mini bar in room which we didn't use. Bathroom water hot and clean towels, although areas need TLC. Main issue was bed uncomfortable felt springs all night. Green light in bathroom ?emergency, also large ?emergency light in bedroom on all night so if you like sleeping in a dark room is an issue. Recommend change matress or get matress topper. Nice choice of teas and coffees supplied.

Spacious room, extremely comfortable. Friendly, obliging staff. Could do with a better entrance - feels a bit like 'going in through the out-door'. But will definitely stay again.

Had an excellent 2 night stay , all the staff were very friendly and helpful , the room was well laid out and the bed very comfortable , breakfast had all we required and the meals at night were exceptional portions and reasonably priced Will definitely be back

Cracking hotel with a really good restaurant bar

Myself and my partner came here for a night away from home. The staff I have to say were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel was clean. The mattresses on our bed however were awful I think I maybe just got a few hours sleep then I was up the rest of the night tossing and turning. When we got up in the morning our backs were both incredibly painful. I just wanted a nice chilled break from home and overall and although it was lovely to get away from home I wish I didn’t bother.

We stayed across the road in room 505. Clean and comfy nothing not to like. Chucking out time in the bar was noisy but that’s only to be expected. Would stay again

I had a reservation for this Hotel and on the day I checked in I discovered my mum was in Hospital. She passed away the following day and I let the staff know I was checking out early and they said if I emailed the hotel they would refund me. After I had recovered from my mum passing, I emailed the hotel. No response. a second attempt no response. I called Expedia and they established they did not want to refund me for the remaining 6 days of my stay. What a bunch of thieves. Do not use this Hotel. And to think I had told my relatives to use it when they came for the Funeral. Calling my Credit Card company now to get this joke of a theft corrected.

Start to finish an excellent place to stay. A lovely genuine welcome, a superb breakfast and a spotless, very comfortable room. I'd time for lunch on the day I left: brilliant steak pie.

Very helpful young man on Reception. Very friendly and accommodating cleaning crew. I was walking the area and needed early check-in which they went out of their way to accommodate. Unusual set-up with a main block and a converted house across the road. As a single female traveller I felt very comfortable and very safe.

Couldn’t fault the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. We were there as our son was in a sports competition , so we didn’t get to try the food as we were out early and back late. Beds super comfy

Friendly, helpful staff and very welcoming. The room was very clean, decent size and fairly comfy bed. Comfortable, friendly feel in the bar downstairs which was a bonus. We would definitely stay again.
