This was an amazing sized space that definitely met our requirements and location. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the property - we had to clean the windows inside and out, vacuumed several times to pick up the dust, there were spiderwebs inside and out, we washed the outside entrance area. The wheelie bins were also full upon arrival. The house is certainly showing its age with flaking paint and the carpets need cleaning. As our charge included a cleaning fee we were disappointed with the condition upon arrival.

Property is exactly as shown in pictures. Property manager responded to inquiries timely. It’s a good base for stay in Christchurch.

This is the first stop of our trip down South to show off the South Island to our extended family visiting from the USA. We arrived at the house just after dinner. The property manager did email us to inform us that the fire place does not work but have given us extra portable heaters. It was a cold evening and the house was cold when we arrived so we quickly plugged in all the heaters, one in each room. Unfortunately, this trippped the fuse so we had to carefully monitor the number of heaters that we could put on. Also, there was initially no hot water so we went to check the boilers just to find that they were not wired up. We found out later that those boilers were obsolete and hot water eventually came through (probably through a califont?) so that was not a problem in the end. Just a fright, and a tired mum with a baby! The place is quite dated compared with what was shown in the photos. However, all these could be easily improved and this could be a brilliant place to stay for a big family.
