Had to wait over an hour later for the room Had to go to the desk for washcloths and hand towels but they had no hand towels. Also had to ask for soap and toilet paper. The faucet in the bathroom was broken. They staff was friendly but the hotel was not very good

I would not recommend this hotel. Staff was very nice but the property/rooms are old and grungy. They were nice enough to give us a different room. They advertised free breakfast but didn’t even have coffee! No soap in the rooms or even toilet paper. Please trust me when I say, you should stay somewhere else unless you don’t have a choice.

Our reservation was not respected. But manager gave us what he called the penthouse? instead. Some penthouse!!!! Stove that did not work, Fridge that sorta worked. No coffee machine, no microwave. Dirty place, broken windows, NO HEAT ( It was 40F outside) / As I was packing to leave the next morning, I noticed that the unit under us had been CONDEMNED by the city!!!!!! Need I go on?

Run down hotel being used for apartments! NO POOL OR BREAKFAST! NO TRASH CANS OR SOAP, NO MICROWAVE!

This was by far the worst place we have ever stayed. I can easily get over the front desk staff having difficulty figuring out how to assign us the 2 rooms we had reserved. What I cannot get over is the fact that the room had no pillowcases or duvet covers. There was no garbage can anywhere in the room or in the bathroom. The fridge had mold in it. I can't speak to whether there was cable or not, because the room didnt even have a tv (contrary to the site description), nor did it have internet. There also was no breakfast, although it is advertised that there is. We wanted to get out of there so badly that I am not sure we would have stayed for breakfast had it been provided. 0 stars. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This hotel is absolutely terrible and shouldn’t be recommended on any site. The buildings if inspected would be ordered to be demolished

It was awful,we left ! Requested refund we still haven't received ! The room was filthy and stunk!

I booked a NON-SMOKING room & was given a room with the putrid stench of an overused wet ashyray & yellow film on the walls (that was so thick it came off when you rubbed against it). I booked for 3 people & there was 1 towel, half a roll of TP, no shower curtain, & the bathroom door didnt even close At All. When i went to complain they did offer an upgrade to a "Penthouse" which was NO better in the stench & grimy wall department. This one had oil/dirt on the comforter & a Shoestring to control the ceiling fan that also had Chunks of dirt/dust on it. The curtains were partially torn, there were 2 whole towels for TWO bathrooms (no washcloths or Anything else)!! We couldn't get the smell off of us for hours after we left! The outaide had trash scattered everywhere too, it was the worst Wyndham I've Ever seen!

Hotels.com advertised it as pet friendly but they did not allow pets, unless you paid an extra $75. The suite for 6 only slept 4. We chose to go elsewhere.

First time and last time staying at hawthorn suites in fort Wayne Indiana. Room had no garbage can plus there were ants, mouse traps,old stain furniture. I can't believe they stay in business. What a dump. I couldn't sleep here because of the odd smell

This place is disgusting. Should be condemned. There's cockroaches BAD. Should not be opened! Haven't gotten refund yet either!

This place was an absolute nightmare. There was trash outside of the room, the fireplace looked like it hadn't been used in forever, the room looked in full disrepair, and it was freezing cold upon entry. The room smelled of heavy disinfectant, there was a light on only one of the nightstands, and the place felt generally unwelcoming. There was a sign at the front desk that stated toilet paper needed to be purchased by the roll, and once you were in the room for 15 minutes, there would be no refund. We left within 5 minutes tops, were told there would be a refund, and I am still waiting for that refund.

Very nasty. No garbage can in the room. Roaches were in the kitchen. The desk person was friendly when I arrived. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I didn't complain. I gave them the key and checked out.

Wet towels, dirty pillowcases (and the cleaning crew had just left). Total disrepair. Had to stay somewhere else for the night. Found out later that this property is known for it's drug activity.

This hotel was disgusting. The room was filthy the bathroom had visible mold all over the place, the floor was sticky and missing flooring, the room smelled terrible..... they had a car air freshener shoved in the vent. The dead bolt was missing from the door which they covered with duct tape. This room had 2 Queen beds with 4 pillows of which 3 had pillows with no pillowcases and the only pillow with a Pillowcase had a tear in it. I ended up not staying at the hotel, the manager was unwilling at first to give me a refund. It was only after i showed her i had taken pictures did she issue a refund.

I have stayed at many Hathornes and this by far has been my worst experience. Now don’t get me wrong the front guy was sincere, friendly, and tried to accommodate my request. So that was a plus. Now let’s get to these accommodations. First, I booked doubles since that was on the site. Well that was a lie they don’t even have double rooms. Next the Penthouse was not in condition for anyone to stay. Overall the room was not clean and my family was very uncomfortable. To the point where it left us stranded at 1am looking for somewhere to lay our heads. Back to the gentleman at the front desk there was no issues with cancelling my rooms as he understood I was not letting my family touch one thing in that room. I’m not bashing just being brutally honest, management needs to get things in condition for guest to stay and take down the false pictures on the site cause they don’t serve breakfast and the rooms are outdated, smelly, and just overall not suitable for the prices.

Place was filled with trash inside and outside dated furniture and kitchen was dirty Broken tile floor and bath old chipped and dirty

The room was a slum. Lights not working, no drinking glasses, no fire extinguisher, no shampoo. Only 2 small pillows on a king size bed. No remote or channel guide for the TV. 1 lamp without a shade.

It's 2024 and I'm trying to stay positive but I would never stay there again

I asked for a room on 1st floor. Both rooms were 2nd floor. First room; cigarette butts on counter top, ashes in the sinks. Room reeked of smoke. No towels or toiletries. Bathtub upstairs was filthy. We went to get a new room. Second room; smoke detector was beeping and needed batteries replaced. We told the front desk and they did nothing about it. No towels or toiletries. No waste baskets in any room. Only 1 keycard worked out of 2. Downstairs bathroom light was so dim I needed my phone flashlight to see. The fan was so loud we couldn’t turn it on. No lamps beside any of the beds. No shower curtain in upstairs bathroom. Furnace didn’t work, it was cold in the room all night. The floors were very sticky and filthy. The kitchenette had no dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. The room was listed including free breakfast, no breakfast was offered. Pool was closed. I paid in cash and needed to go back to office to get a receipt. Candy littered on the floor by downstairs bathroom. No TV remotes anywhere. Faucets were dripping all night long. The room reeked of pot. Curtains were falling off the rods and hanging half off the wall. Room listed as pet friendly, we had a service dog with us and they were notified on the registration about her. We got there and a sign said no pets. Then a sign inside said to clean up after your pet or there would be a charge. This hotel has the possibility of being a very nice place. It is not kept up. It is run down with garbage strewn everywhere.

After being given multiple rooms even the third room I went into was filthy and not clean. The bathroom was dirty, food on the counters, stove and fridge was dirty. The bedding was dirty and stained as well. Worst experience of my life

This place is a skeleton of what it used to be 10-12 years ago. The grounds are completely unkept, trash in the trees, in bushes, on rails of stairs, piled up in common areas and on landings. Baby diapers, used condoms, medical waste etc litter the parking lot. When I got to my room and checked the bed it was full of black hair. I tried to use the room phone to contact the front desk but it didn’t work. Continued to look around the room and there were cigarette ashes on the floor, no trash can, no towels, and no toilet paper. I could go on but I hope you get the picture. I stayed because I’d been in the road for 3 days and brought my own pillows, blankets and bed covers.

I did not like that there was garbage everywhere in the property, old looking and our room was a non smoking room but yet that's what if smelled like.

The room stunk of cat urine, there was an automotive air freshener on the heating unit, but that freshener lost its good smell, a long time ago. There was food in refridgerator from previous guest. We were in town for a convention, so we checked in didnt get back until late, thats when we realized there were no towels, wash clothes, soap, or even waste baskets in room. The toilet paper holder was broken off the wall. We had to leave early for the convention, 4 am, so theres no staff at that time. The parking lot is dimly lit, and going to my truck, i was startled by 2 people coming up to me. 1 wanted a handout. The other wanted a cigarette. This is not a wyndham i had in mind, and the brand should probably audit this place to see if it meets their standards.

The worst place you'll ever see, bar none. We left immediately after seeing the property. Literally a slum amidst a bustling community. Smoke-filled, cockroaches, sketchy, full-time and transient residents. This property should absolutely be removed from any and every booking site! Or better yet, tear it down and start new. I'll be notifying the Fort Wayne Health Department. Go anywhere else.

This place is a scam. None of the pictures or descriptions are true. It's run down, dirty, scary, disgusting place. Trash everywhere on the grounds. People fixing cars and mopeds. It seemed like a apartment complex not a hotel. I was there 15 minutes before finding another hotel to stay at.

Felt gross, room wasn’t very clean. Will not be staying there again

The pictures are a total false representation of the actual hotel all together, I'm guessing the pictures are from when the hotel originally opened. First sign NOT to stay should have been the sign in the lobby "IF YOUR IN YOUR ROOM MORE THAN 15 MINUTES YOU CANNOT GET A REFUND." Their are no legible room numbers on the outside of the rooms unless you walk to each door closely. We booked a King Suite with fireplace room on the 2nd Floor, got a first floor room, walked into the room and you could tell it definitely hadn't been dusted for Months, possibility not even cleaned at all. ONE little throw pillow sized pillow on a King bed, 2 hand towels for after shower, my wife was afraid to even pull the sheets off the bed to check for bed bugs, we picked up our stuff and walked right back out and got our money back.

Desk attendant was not at desk, I waited 15 minutes and went out side and found them in the complex The room was not clean and not acceptable, Desk attendant said he cancelled my reservation and that I would be credited back my money. I sure hope I ge a credit !! If not I will not be happy !!
