Zentral gelegen, das war zwar toll, aber dadurch ist es auch laut gewesen. Sauberkeit war echt gut und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Dadurch dass es so zentral liegt, hatten wir leider auch den Lärm der Bars.. das konnten wir „ertragen“ aber die Feierleute die um 4 Uhr nach Hause kamen und noch weiter Party machten waren echt störend. Frühstück haben wir nur 1x eingenommen, weil das viel zu lange gedauert hatte.. das Omelett war kalt als man beim Kaffee angekommen sind (Kaffeemaschine fiel immer aus) nachgelegt wurde auch nicht, wenn was leer war .. schade

Solo lo cogí para una noche pero lo único malo que puedo decir es que las habitaciones de la parte de arriba están en cuestas y es un poco latazo tener que llamar a recepción para que vengan a recogerte si no quieres subir andando. Pero si alquilas moto eso se evita… ;)

The location was good despite staying in the jungle house. I read some negative reviews but the golf cart service is great, plus you’re away from the noise of the bars etc.

We booked a “jungle double” which was aided by pictures on booking.com. We were brought to a tiny room elsewhere in the resort which smelled of damp. When we rang reception to explain that this is not what we booked, we were immediately driven on a golf cart to where we were supposed to be, they didn’t need any further explanation from us, it was like they knew they were putting us in a smaller, dingier room. Not off to a great start. The guy in this golf cart who brought us to our new room was very kind and pleasant. Every other employee we met in this resort was rude and unfriendly. No smiling back at you and no response to Khap Khun Ka/Sawadi-Ka. When asking for a cart back to the room etc, you were ignored while a guy continued on his phone and it felt like you were interrupting him/bothering him as he sauntered himself to the cart. We came from a lovely family run hotel in Samui where staff were extremely friendly and cleaning all of the time so this resort was just an unpleasant change. Bans resort felt unclean. I never saw somebody clean around the pool and there was a knife in my room that would require a tetanus shot after use. Image will be included below. It was the general vibe of the place that we got after everything, it was not good. I never leave negative reviews but Bans own so much on this island, diving school, shops, restaurants, a bar, accommodation etc. They have all of this but can’t provide a basic good service to guests. Workers seem unhappy, why is this? It annoyed me how they own so much but can’t do it well. Their Bans shop on Sairee beach for example, one lady behind the counter doesn’t make eye contact with you, let alone smile, say hello, thank you. Is Bans management the issue with this lack of human connection? I don’t know. In saying this, both receptionists upon checking in and checking out were very pleasant. I look for cleanliness as a basic requirement. This resort did not satisfy this requirement and more.

The location was perfect and the pool and facilities were good.

The hotel had a fitness centre however you had to pay to go there so may has well just not be part of the hotel and just a public gym. Room was ok but very old. Also the resultant by the sea the staff were always moody and always on there phones

the hotel itself is very nice, the pool is amazing! also the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.

the treatment from the stuff- with the price we paid we expected to receive help with our bags, a ride to our room which was far. when we checked out they forgot we already paid at the check in. overall the feeling and the vibe was very impersonal and mechanical.

it’s convenient for going diving on a daily basis

a rather steep way up from beach to the rooms and the guys at the transport desk were mean and unpleasant

All in all a good resort located at Sairee Beach, which is the main beach in Koh Tao. You can easily walk to different restaurants and bars. The pool is also a very nice feature!

We booked very spontaneously and the price was high compared to other places in Thailand. Maybe it is better to book a bit in advance!

i loved everything about this place! from the room to the food and the stuff! the location is perfect just by the sea close but bot to everything you need or not. took a diving course here and it was amazing so amazing that I took another course!

it’s beautiful! the gardens and fish ponds are excellent! the rooms are nice. it’s build around old trees and rocks. very well put together, with nice seating areas all over

the huge up charge for my one extra day. almost triple what I paid for online. and no refund to change my ferry ticket pass :( laundry is a little over priced too but it was nice to have it done and dropped off.

Reception Staff were more attentive on our 2nd visit. We received an upgraded room and we were really pleased with it. The deluxe room we had was the quietest stay for some time.Thank you. 🙏 Standard rooms are quite compact. Love this resort, big, great swimming pools, comfy sunbeds, lovely landscaping. Great location. Nr beach and restaurants. Very clean and well managed. Free pick up and drop off from/ to pier . We didn't need room service for our 4 day stay but the cleaners changed our towels on the one day we asked and they left water everyday. Book boat trips, ferries etc for same price as tour company. For the right price, I would definitely stay here again.

There is a bit of a health and safety issue in regards to a dangerous step that you don't really see leading from the deluxe rooms not far from the coffee shop. Both my Hubby and I nearly fell over it. One Lady actually did have a nasty fall. Just needs yellow tape or something to stand out as a warning.

The resort was lovely, lots of space and pools. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room was below average, very basic looking. Barely had hot water. We had marks on our bed sheets which the staff rectified straight away. Not worth the price of the stay but loved Koh Tao regardless.

Bans is 1 minute from the ferry pier, 200 baht trip, newbies pay 300+ (including us). Bans is a large spread out resort with many rooms on the hill with brilliant ocean views. There are 4 pools at the resort. The road is very busy outside the resort. Reception is on the main sairee beach walkway, lots of restaurants and bars. Sairee beach is busy and can be loud through the night. All the resorts offer 500 baht all day snorkel tours. By oxygen. Which was very good but we had ours cut short due to bad weather. We extended our stay to 5 nights as couldn't be bothered moving. Bans has a large fitness centre you pay 150 baht per day/2 entries. Lots of dive courses for new Scooby doos. Koh Tao is small & hilly. Fr3dom beach is very nice & quite good snorkling, lots to see on a scooter, stay on the sealed roads not worth going on the tracks, many tourists damage bikes & get charged.

The ferry trip is quite long, there is no direct ferry, even though advertised. Parts of of Koh Tao are run down, & Koh Tao is a little more expensive than the rest of southern Thailand, but in general we had fun and enjoyed our time there.
