Six of us were celebrating a family birthday and came to Mt. Airy because we're all fans of The Andy Griffith Show. We were lucky to be there during Mayberry week. Riverside Memories surrounds you with such a relaxing, beautiful atmosphere. Attention to detail is evident throughout the property. The house itself is furnished with every amenity you could imagine. We will be back!

Very clean. Pool was nice but super cold 71 degrees .it was 88 degrees outside thought the pool would be a little warmer.but we played the wee games and enjoyed the super nice place

Absolutely wonderful!! From the minute we turned onto the drive, we knew that this property wasn't going to disappoint! Traveling with teens can always be iffy, but between the disc golf course (my teen boys loved being able to play anytime they wanted), the pool, the game room loaded with fun games for all ages and the beautiful river that runs behind the property to explore, the teens had plenty to occupy them and keep them all happy!! The entire time we stayed at Riverside Memories there was not a single moody teen! Which, of course, made for happy adults! The kitchen had everything you could ever need and more! The bonus pay it forward pantry came in handy on multiple occasions. The entire property had plenty of extra linens, pool towels and bathroom necessities. The laundry room made it easy to stay on top of keeping them tidy. All the beds were super comfortable. My husband and I had the best sleep we have had in a while and we totally tried to figure out what type a mattress it was so we could get a new one just like it when we got home. :) When I say you can just show up to Riverside Memories with just the suitcase of clothes - I mean it. They thought of everything!! We will definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in that area. Thank you for opening up this property and for the amazing memories we will cherish forever! Oh and our sweet doggie had the best of times too!!

If you’re looking for a cabin in the woods with all the amenities, look no further. From the pool to the river in the backyard, we didn’t feel the need to leave the property. Our kids, ages 7-14, were happy to spend their days looking for treasures in the river, hopping from rock to rock downstream, and playing games in the pool. Our dogs also enjoyed their free range days jumping in and out of the river. Inside the house we had everything we needed for cooking dinners with the fully stocked kitchen. Our little one loved the play nook in the loft and the older ones enjoyed the game room area downstairs. We can’t wait to stay again and create more memories.

This home more than exceeded our expectations!! It was beautiful, clean, spacious, and provided everything we needed and more!! We were able to enjoy visiting family in the area and they were equally impressed with this beautiful home and all the amenities!

The Riverfront Log cabin was everything listed and more! Our family traveled from WV and Georgia to celebrate a birthday and we had a blast! The grandchildren really enjoyed the loft playroom, which gave the adults a little talk time. Everyone had a great time in the pool and the weather cooperated.

Amazing house. Perfect for relaxing by the pool or walking down the river out back. Host was really great as well! Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the riverside cabin. Our only regret was that we only stayed 4 days. We would come back again for another long weekend or longer stay for sure. As far as cleanliness and amenities, this cabin far surpassed our expectations. You can tell just how much thought the owner puts in to making sure you have all you need to enjoy your time there. I went with my husband, two children (8 & 6) and my in laws. There are quite a few stairs and the path down to the river is somewhat steep, so if you truly have someone with mobility issues you may want to be aware. All ages in our group had a wonderful stay and were able to navigate just fine, but thought I would share for others who may be wondering. The river was beautiful and we enjoyed our time spent down there as well. The kids (and adults!) loved the pool to cool off after being out exploring. The kitchen has so many great items so like others have said, check it out before heading to the store! Thank you for such a peaceful stay. We hope to visit again sometime! ~Carmen & Jeff

We were looking for a relaxing country 4th of July and Mt. Airy didn’t disappoint with the parade and fireworks. This house was amazing with the in ground pool and the creek. It has EVERYTHING you need! The only issue I found with the house is the guest bathroom is a little small. They have a charcoal grill which is plus or negative depending on if you like using charcoal or not.

This was an unbelievably wonderful get-a-way for me and my 16 year old twins! We had plans to do several things close by but only ended up leaving once for a quick ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway (only 32 minutes from the house!). With the river, the large pool, disc golf, foose ball table, old-school Ms. Pac-Man, the Wii, the board games and the quiet secluded atmosphere - none of us wanted to leave and go anywhere else! We spent our time hanging out together and cooking in the absolutely gorgeous, super well stocked kitchen - it honestly had everything we needed and more! The pay-it-forward pantry was awesome! I highly recommend grocery shopping after you check in, so much was already there- from condiments to spices to random snacks and treats! The house was extremely clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the atmosphere/vibe made us wish we had booked several more days! We all highly recommend this property, even the teenagers didn't want to go home! We are already planning our next trip back!

This property is amazing! Anything you could possibly need or imagine is provided. Has all the essentials plus more. Kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need to cook and entertain. Plenty of towels for bathrooms and pool for large families or parties. Great assortment of board games as well as a fooseball table and disc golf. Pool floats and noodles are provided also. Easy access to river which is perfect for exploring. Incredibly private property. Feels like you are secluded in the woods, but only 10 minutes from downtown. The house and pool were immaculate! Communication was exceptional and check-in was clear and easy. Overall the house, location, pool and experience exceeded our expectations! Will definitely be going back!

From the moment we arrived and drove down the long driveway I knew we were going to have a great time. We just did not know how amazing this home would turn out to be for our family. I rented the home to spend time with the kids for Fathers Day Weekend and I cannot say enough about how great this home was for me and my family. Also it was our first visit to Mount Airy and the area is just wonderful. Let me begin by saying the home has absolutely everything you will need to enjoy your vacation. I felt like we never left our home. We cooked multiple meals and had every possible utensil, pan, or whatever available to us. I have rented multiple VRBO properties but the attention to the little details were apparent upon arrival. The home is located on a river and the kids loved fishing the river. I personally loved hiking up or down river as it was just so beautiful. Then later in the middle of the day we had this wonderful pool to enjoy. I loved cooking on the grill and watching everyone have the best of times!! The home even has its own frisbee golf course, a Vintage arcade system, and fuss-ball. Just too much fun. It was the perfect combination of outdoor activities and a ton to do inside in case you have a rainy day. I always like throwing a few extra town details. This was my first Mount Airy visit so I found these places to be cool. Hillbilly ice cream a must. Uncorked was cool wine bar and 13 bones was great!! You will not be disappointed!!!!
