Don’t be fooled by the modest exterior—the renovated interior of this house is charming and cozy. The owners have gone out of their way to provide the most comfortable bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen. There was autumn decor, new fleece blankets for snuggling, and 3 big TVs. Just a few hundred feet from a huge, clean beach, we also enjoyed the Racine Zoo, giant playground, board games, nearby haunted houses, and local eats. A friendly, diverse neighborhood great for a quiet but enjoyable weekend. Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the water!

My husband and I, traveling from OK to Racine for our granddaughter's wedding, were lucky enough to find this perfect little vacation home-away-from-home. It was mid-October and we landed in the middle of some cold, rainy, in-climate weather, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoors beach resort experience. However; we were delighted to find the home warm, cozy, and welcoming with added touches of charming fall decor, fresh fruit and treats there to greet us on the kitchen table. We couldn't have been more comfortable, with a detached garage to park our vehicle in out of the rain, central heat, luxurious hotel quality beds and shower, etc. When renovating the home, they managed to keep the 1920s/30s bungalow charm, hardwood floors and all, while adding ultra-modern conveniences. While not a total lakefront home, you have a great view of the lake and the added advantage of privacy on the deck. The town of Racine itself is lovely, with lots to explore. The historic DeKoven Center was a marvelous wedding venue and if you're looking for an awesome restaurant, check out the Chartroom. They treat you like royalty, every dish is out of this world, and the prices are amazingly affordable. Given the opportunity, I would definitely return to The Beach Life! It was a dreamy place to stay, all thanks to the wonderful host, Halina who goes out of her way to exceed her guests' expectations. :))

The perfect beach location! A peaceful and beautiful home in Racine.

The house and supplies were great. Location near the beach is definitely a plus.

We enjoyed our stay here and loved being close to the beach and sitting on the deck. The beds were SO comfortable, even the bunk beds. And the kitchen was well stocked for cooking breakfast--she even had ziplock bags, which was helpful when we packed a lunch.

This is a wonderful house across the street from the family friendly Racine beach. This home is great for a rental, there was a welcome bowl of snacks, lots of labels and signs around the house to ensure comfort and the host's expectations are met. Central AC and a large shower are also wonderful.

This was the perfect beach getaway! The house is really cute with a view of the lake. It is a minute walk to a nice sandy beach for a perfect beach play with our young kids. The host went above and beyond providing little amenities to make the trip easy for us. Beach towels and sand toys were provided which reduced our packing load. A step stool in the bathroom and some kid board games was a pleasant surprise having young children with us. The host was also quick to respond to any questions. Overall a great experience

This house is not only across the street from a gorgeous, peaceful beach, the house itself is amazing. The host has provided everything you need for a restful beach vacation. The beds are clean and comfortable, the bathroom is perfectly designed for a great shower and room to move around. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking (we cooked everyday) and also for just enjoying a kringle or local takeout. Everything is thoughtfully laid out with all the things you need to make your stay enjoyable. The back patio is perfect for sitting and enjoying the beach breeze along with the view. The laundry is set up in the baselment which is clean and easy to use. We walked to the zoo and scootered home. The downtown area is also very close with a nice coffee shop, gelato and more. Stop by the Toad Hall if you want a great burger, you won't be disappointed.
