The new owners were courteous, made fantastic breakfasts, and really seemed to care about the clients.

Nice hotel with beautiful view, however, really could use an updating of room. Also, the cost of continental breakfast was highway robbery. $12 is ridiculous when you can go in town and get a full breakfast for $9.

Loved the whole experience. Great people, Mark is great! Beautiful beach. Camden is lovely.

We enjoyed one night here and wished we could've stayed longer. It's a cute homey place and the walk to the shore is easy and beautiful.

The staff were wonderful. Really enjoyed getting to know them. The property is beautiful. Perfectly quaint New England Inn!

Beautiful oceanview.

I loved that had a larger coffee pot than post hotels however you need an extension cord because the cord is to short. Otherwise you have to set it in the floor and that is just asking for a burn. The drive down to the beach needs some works.

The property is beautiful and the owners were very nice. Our room had been updated and was very cozy, the view of the ocean was spectacular! It is an older property but you can tell they are keeping it clean and updating as they can. Would definitely stay here again!

Mark and Angela were great hosts. They were knowledgeable and helpful with info about the area. The inn is close enough to the town center but far enough away to make it welcomed retreat from the crowds. We stayed in the main building. Even though that meant sharing the space with other guests it was always quiet in the evening. Our room was cozy and the windows allowed for plenty of fresh air sunlight. We especially enjoyed the beauty and solitude of their private beach. We hope to return in the coming year.

Beautiful place we like to go sleep with the sound of the ocean.

Beautiful enclosed porch and breakfast room.

Beautiful historic inn! The staff is AMAZING! We felt so welcomed. Definitely opt for the breakfast - the popovers and blueberry muffins were to die for. Very rustic setting.
The only con is that the rooms are a bit dated, so if you’re looking for a more modern experience, this won’t be your vibe. If you want a quirky, eclectic, cozy coastal Maine experience at a great price, you’ve found the right hotel!

We stayed in the main lodge, room 5. Overall, the inn is charming and peaceful. The ability to walk down to the ocean is a definite plus. Some aspects of the inn were a bit shabby and outdated, but on the other hand the room rate is a better value than other similar hotels. In our room, the gap between the bottom of the door and the floor was quite large, making the room feel less private, with light pollution from the hall lighting. I thought the mattress was only okay, the bed frame was a bit flimsy, and the sheets felt a bit old and "pilly". There was a large stain on the carpet, but everything seemed clean enough. Overall the room was decently cozy, it was quiet and we slept well. Continental breakfast was good, enjoyed the popovers and muffins, and the hard boiled eggs. Wifi was good, which came in handy as it was raining and we were able to stream a movie in HD on a laptop in our room with no issues. Staff was friendly although seemed a bit overwhelmed when everyone checked in - admittedly we all seemingly checked in at once. My companion noted that check in could have been more private - a lot of personal info was being verbalized for all to hear. But ultimately it didn't take that long and was relatively painless to get checked in.
Anyway, we enjoyed our stay overall so I hope the pros and cons listed above is useful input.

A charming Maine inn on the coast. Hosts were very congenial. Continental breakfast was wonderful! Loved the freshly baked muffins and popovers. A real treat. Wished we could have stayed for a week.

I have passed this motel all my life heading up to Northport each summer. So it was kind of a thrill to stay there a few nights. I love the motel layout, property/view and water access. And Mark was an excellent and welcoming host.
I also love that the accommodations are just the basics. My only suggestion is updating these basics: shower, sink, carpet, furniture ... the existing ones have done their job and more! Thank you so much!

This was my favorite hotel of our entire two-week tour of the New England coast. By the time I left NYC, I just wanted to go back to my porch at High Tide Inn and watch the boats sail in the bay. It’s a bit on the rustic side. Not luxurious, but it had everything we needed. There was a minor issue with the electrical outlets that we reported at checkout. We forgot to mention that the bathroom window wouldn’t close, because we enjoyed the fresh air and the sound of waves crashing on the shore.

My stay would have been nice except for the fact I paid full price for a stay there and had no power at all for the duration. Breakfast was meager fare as well.

This is a cute property for a stay. If I am ever back, I will plan to stay here. Also letting friends know of this cute place.

Loved the “Crows Nest”. Staff extremely accommodating & fun.

Older motel that needs remodeling but is still functional. We had a double queen room with partial ocean view. Room was comfortable and fairly clean. It had an older shag carpet which needed replacing. Sink and bathroom looked pretty old and definitely needed updating. The front desk people leave around 7:30pm and just post their phone numbers to contact for emergencies. Not very convenient when you need something or have a late arrival. Our room only had one facecloth, one hand towel, and one bath towel and bath mat for two people. The location is convenient and property offers a beautiful view of Penobscot Bay and a private beach. We only stayed for one night and got reservation at the last minute when not much else was available.

It has a private beach on the ocean.

A lovely property that needs some TLC. The new owners are working on it. Great location and very nice manager Mark.

Lovely property but windows need a thorough cleaning and a hook on the bathroom door would be helpful.
We missed having at least a small TV to keep up with the current weather and news; we did expect one to at least be in the common area downstairs.
Also, a mini fridge would have been most convenient for snacks and drinks.
However, we understand that Rome was not built in a day......
Staff was friendy and helpful and we enjoyed our stay in Camden; it is a beautiful
place!

The Inn has a nice location, conveniently located just a few minutes north of downtown Camden. Additionally the presence of a private beach and the ocean setting in general is very nice. The staff was pleasant enough and the property felt very secluded. The room itself had great climate control with its own heat pump and functional thermostat. The bed was comfortable as well. Thick blinds assured some privacy given the first floor setting.
However, in the details there were a lot of things we found less than desirable in our stay. The building itself was significantly off kilter, with the whole floor tilting noticeably towards the front door. Bedding, towels, and room decor felt cheap. Despite having a king size bed, we found there was only 1 nightstand, which was less than ideal for two sleepers. We found the bath towels to be tiny, as they were barely big enough to wrap once around the waist. (I am a male size 34 waist for reference). Walls were incredibly thin, with noise intruding several times from the room next door. Additionally the "ocean view" description was a bit disingenuous, as the ocean was technically visible from certain vantage points, but not much of view. Sink and shower had outdated hardware, with visible iron staining, and laminate coming off of the shower wall. The plumbing was also somewhat concerning, with the mixing valve in the shower being fairly unpredictable, and gurgling frequently heard in the sink when neighbors used the system.

Beautiful property that the owner is improving after buying recently. Made good changes and more to come. Property is gorgeous, sloping to the sea. Staff is lovely.

We loved the warm and gracious greeting from the innkeeper, Mark and his mouth-watering breakfast popovers and muffins. Huge thank you for his efforts.
The only thing that I would suggest upgrading is the mattresses. However I still got a restful night's sleep with the windows open to the sea breezes and the quiet.

I had a great stay. My room #5 was adorable. Be aware the bed is very high. The Inn is rustic and quaint with a killer view. Lovely homemade breakfast. Mark and Angela are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Looking forward to another visit.

very pretty location but the sign was not properly lit up so we had difficulty locating the inn twice.

Warm staff, comfy inn, beautiful bay views. Really appreciated the new mini split HVAC when we needed it, and good airflow when we didn't. Soundproofing could have been better on the second floor of the main inn building—walls and floor were thin.

Front desk very accommodating when he realized our room had been overbook, via Expedia. Upgraded us to the last room that was open.
