The surrounding area is beautiful. Lakefront veiws, amazing wildlife and gorgeous sunsets await. You really get a sense of being away from it all while you have your morning coffee from dunk since non is provided with your room.

The overwhelming smell of mold and moth balls upon entry was very unpleasant and forced my aunt to sleep outside on the screened porch. The temp dropped to 48° that night. There was visible mold all over the room with spots that were clearly only covered with upshot spray. Cob webs in every ceiling corner. Trash, old socks and dust under the beds. Only one window was able to stay open to allow fresh air. Stains and mold on the bath mat and curtains. Also a fire hazard by having a broken prong inside the electrical strip. No staff visable on site. Was told parking for 2 vehicles but that's a stretch returning after dark. More like a rooming house than a "Rustic Retreat". Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Our stay was for a weekend wedding but the horrendous contions forced us to leave the following morning. I am requesting a full refund and will be leaving reviews on multiple sites regarding the unsanitary/ unhealthy conditions of our stay.
