Welcome to Pawtuxet Village/Edgewood!
We are located two blocks from the Providence River in one direction and Roger Williams Park & Zoo in the other, as well as being literally ten minutes from the capital building, area universities, downtown restaurants (Federal Hill, Hope Village, etc) and shopping. If you'd rather walk, you are a 15 minute stroll from Pawtuxet Village where you will find more great restaurants, a scenic harbor and more local shopping. The cultural scene in downtown Providence is rich with events 24/7, whether at the RISD art gallery, the Lindemann Performing Arts Center at Brown or Trinity Repertory Theater. In the summer months, the city comes alive bi-weekly with Waterfire, an event that features burning urns bobbing in the middle of the river while live performers come and go on gondolas! Should you want to see the mansions in Newport, we're just 40 minutes from the town center - an easy reach if traveling to the area for the Newport Music Festival. What's more, we are within a short drive to Rhode Island's gorgeous shoreline and many yachting events. Should you arrive in the winter months, there is skating downtown at the Bank Newport City Center skating rink and great shopping at the Providence Place Mall.
As our home is your home-away-from-home, we have made sure that it is stocked with all the things you'll need for an enjoyable stay. We have a working fireplace, a basement workout room, a second floor office with high speed internet, a home theater tucked away in the main living room and lots of super comfortable beds. The kitchen is equipped with a Breville coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, tableware, food basics (pepper/salt, napkins, paper towels), a center Boos chopping block and All-Clad cookware. Each bedroom is equipped with beautiful cotton or flannel bedding (your preference), a ceiling fan, desk, chargers at each nightstand and a Mitsubishi mini-split for individual air and temperature control. The upstairs office is its own quiet sanctuary for anyone needing to work remotely.
