Whenever we are planning a trip to the beach, we always look through the reviews from prior guests so I want to be very honest about our experience staying at Shipwatch A 105. I'll begin with the pros: There is a wonderful view of the beach from the living room and primary bedroom and it was great having an easy walk to get to the beach without having to go up and down stairs. The bed in the primary was very comfortable and the decor throughout the unit was beachy and cheerful. The kitchen was VERY well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. The blinds were so easy to use and kept the bright light out in the early mornings. Shipwatch is in a great location in Wild Dunes, and it's an easy walk down to the shops and restaurants. Cons: All of the appliances are very old and noisy. The dryer would turn on but it took forever to dry the clothes and towels. The burners on the stove were very questionable. We had to do a little repair on a few to get pots to sit correctly on them. The beds in the other two bedrooms were very uncomfortable. The dated drawer and cabinet hardware in the primary bathroom sticks out way too far. I cut my leg on one of them. Wifi is spotty inside the unit and we couldn't make calls unless we went outside. Overall, we are giving a pretty good rating because of the pretty view and easy access to the beach. For the money, this is a nice condo with a lot to offer. The owners should really consider investing in nice, new appliances. It would make a world of difference!

Shipwatch A 105 was great for our fall break visit. Aside from few minor cleanliness issues that we took care of when we arrived, the unit was perfect for our family. Access to the beach was quick and easy. We’ll definitely book it again!

Condo was perfect for being close to the beach and pool which is what I ask for because I have back and leg issues. The bathrooms were not clean when we got there and the living room furniture needs replaced ( soiled ). The rest of the condo was perfect. I will definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Shipwatch A 105 was great! Our family (4 adults and 2 children) had plenty of room. We had everything we needed in the well=appointed kitchen except a pitcher for tea. My only recommendation is that a place is needed to store beach items.

Rental was beautifully decorated, and the oceanfront view was wonderful! Gorgeous view!Condo could use some updates, but overall we really enjoyed it!!We have been renting from Island Realty for decades. My only complaint would be check-in time has changed. It is now between 4:00-5:30, but check out time is still 10:00am. If we aren’t out by 10:00, I read that we would be charged. As much as it is to rent properties, especially with so many added fees, the least IR can do is have the property ready by 4:00 pm at the latest! It should really be ready by 3:00.

Nice condo, great layout. Each bedroom has their own bathroom which was a big plus. Kitchen was stocked well (would have been nice to have a Kuerig tho). Short walk to pool and beach, great view from the patio. Had books and games for children as well as for adults. Loved the Wild Dunes area! Would not hesitate to rent this condo again!

We booked so late that options were limited for our early fall getaway. We wanted a 1 bedroom/bath on ocean front, and at a reasonable cost. There were only two of us. We ended up having to book a 3/3. Still, the price was reasonable because the condo is dated. We invited another couple to join us for the last weekend. Overall, the property was clean and comfortable. You cannot beat the location and the view out of the glass doors and windows was beautiful from the 1st floor condo! As others have mentioned, we enjoyed using the stairs versus the hot elevator. We did need to wash all of the utensils, and many of the dishes in the dishwasher on the first evening, as they looked like they had been hand washed leaving spots, and some food. Also mentioned was the terribly loud air condition. We had to turn it off at night to hear the T.V. We will be interested to see what the new owners do to renovate over next winter. This condo will be on our list for future visits.

First complaint; no mattress covers. Really gross in a rental property. #2; 2 of the burners on the stove didn’t work. #3; toilet flushers were very unusual and required extra effort to use properly. #4: outside furniture was too large for the very small balcony.

We loved this unit!! Thoughtfully decorated, very spacious and with an ocean view. It was extremely relaxing for us and we highly recommend it! The only downside is that the AC unit seemed to be older and it felt more like a hotel unit when it came off and on...but it cooled the condo wonderfully, just more of a noise nuisance than anything else. Otherwise, we loved it!!

Condo was nice. There were a couple of things that I wished were provided. Laundry detergent for the machine. One of the bathroom showers was clogged and when I called maintenance, they asked me to use one of the other bathrooms. I wish coffee and tea were provided with the machine.

Our stay was fun. Pool and beach easily accessible. View from unit not as bad as we thought being on elevated first floor. Stove was not fully functional but other than that the kitchen was great. Beds and decor were cute. Would stay here again!

We are a family of 6 and were looking for a getaway where we could shelter in place and still enjoy a vacation. The condo location was great and beach access made it easy to come and go with kids. The condo was spacious enough for us to cook in and relax without being on top of each other. Pool was great for little kids especially when the ocean was too rough. We would recommend this property!

This condo has a well laid out floor plan to accommodate guests while preserving space and privacy. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and baking. The location is convenient to the beach and local attractions. We were able to enjoy a nice stay at the beach and local attractions. However, the condo is outdated and needs a good deep cleaning. I was unable to feel comfortable because the condo was clean on the surface but not thoroughly cleaned.

Planned late summer vacation hoping for COVID19 impact to lessen. COVID issues increased, but Island Realty, Wild Dunes and surrounding things were very well equipped and responsible. Week long visit. Weather was great. Property and condo were in great shape. The only thing alarming was the pool hours. Closes at "sunset"...whatever time that is everyday. With limited off property options due to COVID, we needed the pool for later evenings. No go on that.

Fantastic location with direct access and views of the beach! Sun on the spacious patio! Went for walks on the paved walking paths or on the beach. Comfy beds. Nice that each bedroom has their own bathroom. Kitchen is well stocked. Quiet location..but still can hear the ocean! Will highly recommend!

This condo is well-appointed with plenty of room for a large family. Everything about this condo is upgraded and extremely comfortable from the beds to the living room sofas. The kitchen is equipped with absolutely everything you need. I was able to prepare a "Southern Style New Year's Day Meal" easily.The location is very nice and while the upper floors may have better views of the Ocean, we actually enjoyed being able to take the stairs quickly to get to the beach versus waiting on the elevator. Overall the stay was perfect and we plan to rent here again. Beautiful condo and the management company was very easy to work with. Great experience!

This is a well done unit at Shipwatch. It is comfortable, attractive and has everything you need for a great beach vacation. It has lovely views of the beach. I wish there was better seating options for the deck- we like to have a place other than a strait chair to sit to read - but I would still stay here again

We had a wonderful experience at this condo. Every thing was clean and the location was perfect. A short walk to the beach and the pool area is lovely. Kitchen is well equipped. Other than one of the oven burners not working it was perfect. Staff was very accommodating when we needed anything. Would definitely recommend.

We were really happy with this rental. We had everything we needed and the towels and other linens were really good quality. The kitchen was equipped with good quality cooking utensils and everything worked. I was really impressed with the excellent communication from Island Realty. They were professional and answered every question promptly. I’ve never bragged on a rental company before. The only disappointment was no recycle facilities at all. That is disgraceful in my opinion. Otherwise, great place to stay. Good pool, great beach access. Beautiful place.

The rental was perfect for a week and we had a very relaxing time. It was clean, uncluttered, with direct access to the beach and had everything we needed. Best part was NO rugs! Apartment felt airy with it’s beautiful big windows and was easy to clean up after the beach. I’m not sure whether it was cleaned “per CDC standards” as stated because we didn’t smell any bleach or strong alcohol disinfectants, but we sprayed everything with Lysol before move in. Will be returning to Wild Dunes!

After missing our beach vacation in 2020, we enjoyed both this condo and staying at Shipwatch again. This unit was very adequate for our family of 5, and we would stay here again. Decor is updated and furniture was comfortable.
