The b&b is in fantastic location. You step out into the heart of Florence. There is not great signage to get into the building but the hotel sent very good instructions on how to get in. There are 33 steep marble steps to go up to get to the elevator. Hard to do with luggage. There is a nice common area that has dishes you can use. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Their were problems with the shower head holder being broken so you couldn’t stand under the shower, also the foldable wall to keep water out didn’t work great so there was water on the floor all the time. We had a large room with two single beds that looked out into a small courtyard that was just walls and cement. The room would have been great but there was a nasty sewer smell in the room. You got use to it and thought maybe it went away but every time you walked out of the room and walked back in it was there. Not sure if the other rooms smelled like that but the main common area didn’t smell. The continental breakfast was just packaged pastries but they did have a fridge with some items in it, with a list of what they would charge you for if you consumed and what were included in rate. We did have a good stay in Florence but I would probably not go back to this hotel because of the smell. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Check in was an awful experience. We waited nearly half an hour at the door buzzing to get in and got no response. Breakfast is a tray of sealed food left in the room. The shower was mouldy and blocked after use and the air conditioner only came on in the evening.

This is a scam. There is no staff, working phone number or address... the "Hotel" is a door behind an outdoor cafe that opens to a stairway to a door requiring a code... no code given and no staff, the phone number provided did not work and "Chat" communication had noone on the other side to respond. It took 2 hours to find the "address" and had nowher for me and my family to sleep. I had no alternative other than to find another place to sleep.

Location is AMAZING. The facility is old, and in turn smells old. The real problem was advertised AC and it is locked. You’re unable to turn on. When asking staff to turn it on, they don’t as they are always unavailable and limited hours. It literally ruined our trip. We were sweaty and miserable the entire time.

Our stay at Soggiorno Antica Torre could not have been more magical. Situated perfectly, all the sights and sounds of Florence were just steps away. Without a doubt we would return again and again!

The room was clean, staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. Having a breakfast included in our room was so nice rack day. Simona was the friendly face that greeted us each morning. Even through the language barrier she was always happy to help. Phenomenal location!!!
