proximity to town centre / car parking
breakfast finished at 10am on Saturday - missed it with no option of refund
The room was like a sauna - it was far too hot - parking charge was waved in way of compensation. The room was situated next to two hot water tanks and I couldn’t get the temperature below 25 degrees even with windows open and radiators turned off.
I would never stay in this room again. I noticed other guests also complaining re the temperature of their room.

The room was very hot and we couldn’t open the window as we were disturbed by noise outside with the window shut so it would impossible to open the window and vent and get to sleep. We had disturbed sleep as it was

When booking at this Hotel it was not made clear that there would be a £12 charge for parking in the Hotel Parking area.
I was told that I was sent a notification stating that there would be a charge for parking but I did not receive this.
I really do think that there should be no hidden charges when booking accommodation.

We were on an upper floor during exceptionally hot weather. There was no air conditioning unfortunately although ground floor rooms do have it.

Staff were great- friendly and very helpful. Sam on reception was really good, nothing was too much trouble. I booked three rooms and all in the party said they would use The Angel again. Breakfast- couldn't be faulted. Breakfast room and reception were nicely done out.
The hotel seems to be going through some refurb- just needs to get to all parts of the hotel.

Helpful and friendly staff. Good quality, substantial breakfast. The hotel is ideally located, just five minutes stroll from the attractive town centre and also just a few minutes on foot to Jephson Gardens.
Unfortunately, we had to climb 32 stairs to reach our room (Room 11) because there was no lift in that part of the hotel. However, there is a lift in another section of the hotel so guests who prefer not to climb too many stairs should ask when booking for a room which has access by lift.

staff were super helpful and friendly too ;)
paying for the parking wasn't expected - so that was a slight disappointment, and the room wasn't as nicely appointed as website photos showed of other rooms but everything worked and was clean - so overall a good stay

Brilliant location in the centre of Leamington Spa. Spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Parking for the car which was really useful.
Better explained menu for breakfast - I think the choice was all available but we just went for the standard breakfast as it seemed easier.
