Disappointing.
Good location. Apartment itself was nice.
Unfortunately, our stay from 18–22 June was disappointing despite the apartment itself being attractive and in a good location.
Prior to arrival, we requested an earlier check-in as we had a 5am flight to Marbella and felt that the 4pm check-in time was quite late. However, we were not informed that an earlier check-in was available, so we arrived at the scheduled check-in time. Upon arriving at the apartment, we noticed that the cleaning team had only just arrived. We witnessed them entering the apartment at approximately 4:10pm (10 minutes after the advertised check-in time), which immediately raised concerns that the apartment was not ready for guests.
At approximately 4:15pm, we approached the apartment door and rang the bell several times. Despite being able to hear movement and cleaning activity inside, there was no response. We continued knocking and ringing the bell as we had no way of confirming whether this was the correct apartment. Eventually, at around 4:20pm, the cleaners opened the door and confirmed that it was our apartment. Due to the language barrier, they were unable to explain why the apartment was not yet ready. After contacting the host, we were informed that the cleaning team was running late.
As a result, we were left waiting outside the apartment until approximately 4:50pm before we could enter. Considering we had been travelling since the early hours of the morning, this was frustrating. Upon entering, the floors were still wet from being freshly cleaned.
The most significant issue, however, was the air conditioning. Throughout our stay, it only blew warm air regardless of the setting used. We contacted the host several times and followed all suggested troubleshooting steps, including running the system for an extended period. Unfortunately, nothing resolved the issue. The host advised that somebody would attend to fix it on Monday, which was the day of our departure.
