Excellent location, few steps from Dickenson Bay beach, set in beautiful tropical gardens.
Apartment was clean, bed was comfortable and air con functional.
Staff were really helpful and friendly.
Noise/jabber/ music from neighbouring Sandals Resort, which was intermittent day and evening long, albeit not late at night.

Location close to the beach, concierge and staff were very helpful. Very clean and easily accessible pool
We arrived late afternoon and reception was shut and on site store was closing so we had little time to obtain groceries or other supplies for the first evening. It would have been good to have the option to pre order a welcome package of food etc. Beach is also fairly limited so we had to pay for loungers on another part of the beach

The villas are right on the beach, which is super safe and not overcrowded at all.
The rooms are a little outdated but who cares. It came with a big balcony where I could see the bright blue ocean and that made up for it.

The room was great, clean, spacious and with a nice balcony. The reserved area for tanning faces a very nice stretch of sea. The boats to circumnavigate the island leave from nearby.
The staff was a bit overly defensive when a piece of clothing went missing (it was mistakenly taken with the sheets and later found).
Water pressure was low, but nothing too bad.
Food options in the area are somehow underwhelming for the price.

location is near beach with good landscaping.
Very difficult to locate even for locals as no signboards.
Bathroom had opened widows without curtains and no one ever fixed that. See the photo.
Staff is inefficient and rude passing rascist remarks all the time. Staff charged us twice on our two credit cards. For getting back duplicate charge, we had to file police complaint and are still awaiting the refund. Never give them a second credit card even if they ask under the excuse of first credit card not working. In such case, obtain "declined" slip first.

Room was lovely and comfortable. The whole complex is nicely secluded with a great restaurant right next door.
Taxis are expensive and there is little to do unless you ride into St John's.

Probably the best value for your money. Beach right outside with beach bars and food options all over the beach, great places to get affordable local food. Plus the hotel has a little store to the side, where you can get water, alcohol and GREAT Roti ( pro tip, you can order in advance bc it sells out sometimes). I had read people complaining that the beach was packed but we always had chairs and an umbrella. Our section of the beach wasn’t crowded at all. The cruise ship crowds were more around sandals and the ends of the beach. The people staying at AV were very friendly and it’s not a loud place so if you’re looking for a quiet stay and a beach with gentle water, this is probably the best value for money.
The oven in the room didn’t work. We had bought a frozen pizza to throw in for an easy dinner after a long beach day but the oven wasn’t working. To be fair, we didn’t say anything to the front office. But that was probably the only issue we had.

This was our first time in Antigua in December and we were surprised to find that almost everyday it was windy, therefore the beach was full of seaweed and the sea was rough. Not as nice as it usually is. It's not the fault of the hotel, but just be aware that maybe December is not a good month to go. Restaurants nearby are super expensive, so usually we went to the supermarket (which is a bit far) to buy food to cook in our apartment.
The location is good, and people working at the property are helpful.

Great room, eventually. Modern decor and great kitchen facilities. Had a great stay.
We booked a superior room which as per the online pictures should have been bright and modern. We were allocated a room which was clean and ok, but certainly not what we paid for. We also paid what we thought was a premium for the room for a sea view - its not. It was a very slight side on view (if you craned your neck off the terrace) I would class it as partial at best.
We pointed out the dated room to the reception (very helpful) and the next day we were moved to a modern room as per the pictures but only because of an apparent cancellation, not sure what would have happened if this had not happened?! The only issue then was that this room definitely did not have a sea view at all. We really enjoyed our stay here but the rooms should not be advertised as sea views. Partial sea views for some rooms should be advised.

Security personnel were on site 24/7 even if we arrived at 7:30 pm in the evening. They were really helpful, bringing us to the rooms and introduced all amenities to us. The location is in close proximity to Dickenson Bay, one of the best beaches in Antigua. It only took us 2 minutes to get there. The staff were really helpful, accommodating our needs when staying with a baby, which we really appreciate it.
There weren't decent restaurants nearby, all of which seemed to be overcharging and medievally equipment-wise poor. They cannot even offer a latte, a flat white,etc.... The Antigua Government has had poor plan for the development of the island, no footpaths or pavements on the Island. If you fancy a walk on the street, this is not possible. Rather, you have to drive. I really hope the Caribbean nations can develop and thrive a bit economically.

Excellent location, amazingly helpful front desk - Katy Ann went beyond the call of duty to help us locate a lost phone. The apartment was extremely well equipped with everything you need and contrary to some reviews, the wifi was really good and super-fast.
Absolutely nothing not to like.
