The view is the best thing about the place.
It is worth mentioning there is a 7km dirt road to the hotel. Depending on your car, it is an important detail. Also no internet and no air conditioning in the room.

Liked the view for reception.
My bed was on the hard side for me. Could hear adjacent rooms.

Breathtaking views of the fjord from the property. The scenery is beautiful as well as the location. We chose a room with a balcony on the third floor overlooking the fjord and it was such a gorgeous view.
Supper was mediocre and expensive. Definitely room for improvement. Some meal choices rather than one fixed menu would have been ideal.

A place to sleep ($$$), the view
A terrible place to sleep, tiny thin dusty likely 20 year old pillows, dusty room, uncomfortable bed despite high $$$. Requested early check in since I'm 9 months pregnant to rest and elevate my legs. Told they could not accommodate that and to wait until 4 pm. Only 6 cars on site, very few other visitors, and yet a simple request could not be met. Room so dusty it hadn't been stayed in in weeks.
Cannot use pool unless you want to pay $50 and reserve it for 3 hours. Informed this is because of covid, however no covid restrictions remain in Canada in summer of 2022, simply a cash grab and more opportunity to show their lack of hospitality. No other guests can use the facilities since pool rental period is for a minimum of 3 hours.
Sewage smell in room, due to the sinks and showers not being used in some time (septic).
7 km dirt road leading to hotel was in such poor shape, likely to damage car.
Do not eat here.
I'm summary, don't be in the tourism industry unless you have hospitality and can maintain basic cleanliness and room standards.

Amazing view over the fjiord, nice shared space on chalet and reception building. Besides this hotel has several conventional hiking tracks and has access to the lake for canoeing.
7 KM unpaved road, which was not mentioned in the booking. No refrigerator or Iron in the room or even the property to use it. Small beds and rooms. and lower than normal Breakfast services.

Amazing location with stunning views. Lovely, comfortable individual cabins. Very helpful and thoughtful staff.

The hotel offers excellent views of the fjord and the staff are extremely friendly.
should warn guests to check in before sunset as it is too dark to get to your room which is not in the same building as the reception. Roads leading to rooms should be named and lighted so that it is easy to find our way.
We were hitting houseflies for the first hour of our stay. Killed at least 10. Something should be done about this.

I like the view and location with lake
Room was so dirty, There were lots of fly or dead fly in the room and on the bed and no body remove it before us special in corona time. We arrived at 8 pm and we were hungry but staff did not allow us to have dinner as they said we have to book before. it is funny you should book the dinner before you have plan to book the hotel.
The worst scenario, they charged us two times, they said booking.com don't pay us. I don't know why booking.com should charge us while they don't pay the hotel. Note: people who want reserve this hotel from booking.com, first make sure who will charge you. we paid to booking.com then Hotel charged our credit card on arrival more than booking.com. they supposed to pay back but almost one month one month after our trip and nobody pay back our money.
6.0
The view and location and cleanliness.
Sundry expenses like breakfast was expensive for what we got. Beds not made and is a basic hotel expectation.

We booked a chalet : balcony with 2 armchairs, spacious room with comfortable queen size bed, full finished bathroom with shower (everything rustic with modern accents). Great view of the fjord of Saguenay from room/balcony, beautiful nature and nice trails. Gastronomic tasty supper. New pool; we did not use it but it is a nice addition to the resort.
Ste-Rose-du-Nord : better choice for fast food if you get there.
7 km gravel road from the motorway to resort; some spot recently repaired very difficult for a small car, 4x4 recommended.
Duvet cover had disgusting suspect spots (message for hotel stuff : clean them or do not use them, please), we found some hair on supposedly cleaned sheets.
No choice for food : fixed-price menu for breakfast (14$/person) and supper (36$/person); you like it or not, not the hotel problem (15% service added to the bill and taxes applied afterwards). For the continental breakfast everything was counted (except for coffee) and lot of sweets. Very poor choice of menu to start a day. Very expensive fast food dinner (ex. 25$ a burger menu, 20$ a poutine, taxes and service included, etc.) Wine overpriced 3x or more (ex. Chevalier de Dyonis 36$ cheapest bottled wine on the menu, 10$ at SAAQ), house wine about 20$/0.5L not available. Poor bar choice : ex. asked for a cappuccino, not available.
Service for guests closed after 9:00 p.m. Wifi in the lobby only.
Booked the chalet on booking.com about a month in advance and paid in full. Charged again at check-out, because the booking.com did not provide adequate payment to the resort, as the hostess explained to us. Very annoying now to spend time to get refunded and for the follow up. Not nice !

Fantastic location and view
Staff not so friendly / customer oriented when compared to other locations, especially at the reception
7.9
The location is absolutely amazing. The view from the room over the river is as stunning as the view from the restaurant or the swimming pool. The food at the restaurant for diner or for breakfast is very good and the staff from there is very welcoming.
The staff at the reception is not very pleasant even if he’s polite tho. You have to pay extra to access to the swimming pool and the sauna. You’d also have to pay extra to use the billard board and the other games. Strange and unpleasant for a 4 stars hotel. Also, the WiFi is not available in the rooms.
