The location near the dunes and unique restaurants(walk to or several minutes'drive). The setting in the Coffee Crreek preserve which was fun and relaxing to hike around. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We brought our 2 little dogs and there were places to walk them.
The breakfast was part of our stay and was exceptionally good with continental or cooked to order options.
The breakfast and dinner options were confusing. I had to ask how it worked and what was available to me since prices were posted and the stuff you could buy from their shop, including coffee was adjacent. Most of the staff were friendly enough and professional acting, but it could have been more welcoming. It is a trend, it seems, for some persons employed in hospitality to not smile or welcome customers and just barely do their jobs.

As advertised. Quick drive off of highway 90, quick drive to Dunes. There was a pool, but was quite busy in the evening so we skipped it. Beds were comfortable, room seemed clean. Staff were very nice, patient with us and other guests, let us hang out in the lobby for a while after we'd checked out.
It's a picky thing, but there are 2 levels of wifi, so if you want to do more than check your email, it's another $5 or you "become a member". This just made the place feel cheap. We're already paying for the room. In every other hotel I've been to, any number of stars, decent wifi is standard, not a perk or "extra".

The woman who helped us in the breakfast area was wonderful. She could not have been nicer.
We really appreciated the large area for dog walking and the nearby wetlands area that was easy to walk to.

Delicious breakfast, great location, generally clean
Bathroom vent didn’t work and bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke in the evenings. When we called to inform the front desk, staff member said she didn’t know how she could help us. Staff member was unwilling to bring extra towels or soap to our room, because of understaffing. Overall experience was good. Just some staffing issues and the broken vent made our room humid and smelly after 4 showers on a hot summer day (room 303 for reference).

The dog next door barked ALL NIGHT LONG.

Come to find our, the human stays there full-time, and someone from the hotel was supposed to go feed him and let him out. Me nor my husband slept a wink ALL NIGHT. I wasn't complaining (dog mother, too) until I found out this goes on EVERY day - to EVERY human who stays in my same room!!!!!! They just laughed it off like, "Oh, well!" Really? Did YOU get sleep last night? Jesus! It's one thing to allow dogs, but sweet Lord, THAT is uncalled for!!! I payed all that money to NOT get sleep?!?!?!? And then git laughed at? Not happy!

The hotel was conveniently located and accessible. The pool and hot tub area were clean and maintained.
The beds were very uncomfortable. The breakfast was not included, though staff indicated that it was at check in.

Charged $300.00 more itialny then another $1000.00 which held up accounts for vacation and the hotel said its not their problem. Will never give your company business again!!

The room was clean. And that's about it.
They were under construction. Pool and jacuzzi closed. Loud and a mess everywhere. And for what I was charged, it's insulting to say the least. Breakfast was just muffins and Danish. I was extremely disappointed, I take mine stays at hotels to get rest and relaxation. This did not happen, and for the price, it was ridiculous.

When I arrived after an 11 hr. drive, the front desk person told me that she did not have a reservation for me. I made the reservation through Booking.com. She suggested I contact Booking.com and I reached a customer service rep by phone. The rep said she would call the front desk and to stay on hold for what she said would be 5 minutes + -. After 25 minutes I hung up and went to the front desk to see if the rep had called. The front desk person said "yes" but that the rep did not provide the information needed to register me. I was too tired to argue at this point, had $140 charged to me credit card after paying $107 through Booking.com. Apparently whatever was needed to authorize my reservation and rate through Booking.com was approved after I registered. When I check out the following morning the charge to my credit card was removed. I spent an hour trying to deal with this after a long drive. The experience soured me to both Booking.com and the hotel.

Didn’t stay for breakfast as it would have taken longer than a nice fast food restaurant.
Construction. Noisy between floors transferred very easily. Sounds from the above floor easily interrupted sleep simply by the occupants walking. Bath and toilet noise and other noise that made me lay there wondering what caused it. Certainly not what we’ve experienced in other Garden Inns or even most Hampton locations.
