My son likes to explore different hotels we stay at, and this one was explore worthy

The rooms beds, pillows and overall vibe feel super worn, flat pillows, it felt like there was a layer of filth during our stay

Los cuartos muy oscuros, cambiar cortinas a algo más claro y moderno. La fila del snack fue eterna.

Great location, lovely suites, right at the Metro Station, super-great breakfast, happy hour was fun, loved the pool and hot tub, and great dinners at the Cheesecake Factory in the building. We liked the spacious feeling of the open courtyard.

Noise from the hallway: There was a family calling out to each other and yelling and running very near our door. When relaxing together in the living room we sometimes needed to retreat to the bedroom and keep the bedroom door closed to escape the disturbance. Also, there were no towels in the locker rooms or the pool area any of the mornings we went in for a swim.

We arrived to happy hour by 6 pm. No snacks and they were not replenished. Happy hour is until 7 pm

The breakfast was great and the staff except the manager were great.

To many small issues of things broken or not working. Real lack of manager attention to detail. Lamp plug outlets did not work in either room. Couch roll out bed spring was broken; we had to move rooms. Bathroom lock did not work in one room the other was missing the lock cap. Bathtub faucet was broken. Security locks was missing exterior plate, leaving access to lock works. The pillows on one bed smelled of body oder really bad. Little stuff you would not expect at Embassy Suites. These issues were all clearly visible. Talked to manager by phone and she did not even say "sorry for the bad experience". She didn't take responsibilty. Again staff was great and breakfast was really good. Of all the things I think was the managers attitude.

The cocktail reception was poorly run . Waiting over 30 minutes to be served was unacceptable. Management should be involved, but was no where in sight. The internet connection speed was also terrible. How can a hotel with over 150 rooms and guests offer “ free wi-fi “ with speeds less then 10 mbs. Very disturbing.

We arrived early but Noreen the desk staff made us feel uncomfortable. She basically said room not ready and made us feel like we should get out her face. She didn't offer anything no suggestion. I had to ask if we could leave our bags. When we left I was waiting to check out and noreen took the white guy who came 5 mins after us. She made me feel black and uncomfortable. Corporate made a visit on my last day in willie restaurant. I wish I would have complaint to them. SHE NEEDS RETRAINING OR A DIFFERENT POSITION. The hotel is a good place. It holds all the amenities and the breakfast is good. You can also go into the hotel directly from the train station. The rooms are comfortable and the cleaning staff is great. It was hard to find food places in the area.

The desk staff needs to be re-trained. Some need to understand that this is sometimes our first trip and every interaction is a lasting one. You can not pick and choose who you want to be nice to. Everyone needs to be treated the same.

I had already paid the parking fee when I checked in, but when I left the hotel parking lot, I was prompted to pay again, because I was anxious and left without going to the front desk to pay directly.

Dirty beds lumpy uncomfortable. Dirty rooms. Extra charges that booking failed to mention. Our room was not ready when promised it was 5 hours later. Horrible experience with the hotel and booking. I will never return to either one.

The breakfast was great and our room was very spacious.

Their check-in system was down when we arrived. We had to wait 2 hours to get a room and for the first day had to get a staff member to open our door for us anytime we left. There was no wifi throughout the duration of the stay.

Very spacious suites. The bed was large and comfortable. There is an additional sofa bed that can be used if needed. The breakfast is excellent. They serve a variety of things including made-to-order omelettes etc. The spread is quite good and the location is good too. The hotel is in a good area though a bit far from the national Mall but that is more than made up for by the fact that there is a metro station in the basement of the building. Makes it very convenient to reach the attractions.

They could not locate my reservation which had been made well in advance. I was asked by the hotel staff to call booking.com to sort it out myself which really was a dampener to the whole experience. Later they said they sorted it out themselves but we ended up waiting for close to an hour.
