The walls were so thin that we could literally hear the lady next door all night and morning talking. We actually thought the women were outside of our room door and when we opened the door to check we realized they were in the room next door.

The staff is incompetent and not service minded. Evening staff. I would suggest that evening staff be trained in human interaction. Terrible. I will not stay again as a result. Valet parking to front desk. Terrible

Generous sized room which was very comfortable. Excellent bathroom. Superb parking staff who allowed us to leave our car longer so that we could explore the city.

Breakfast in the foyer area was a bit crowded. Appalled by the use of disposable cutlery and plates, but sadly single use plastic seems very common in the USA.

Easy to find and not far from city centre

Toilet did not work, bedside lights were damaged, aircon was very noisy, had to set up the sofa bed ourselves because room wasn’t ready

second room we got was very big, staff was helpfull.

Raining inside the room at 5 AM . Had to change rooms. Hotel very dirty, very old. Carpet extremely dirty both rooms. Overused hotel which is not maintained.

Valet parking crew were excellent! Mike, Hosseini and the whole Valet crew ensured our vehicle remained safe and secure. They remained friendly, professional and courteous for the duration of our visit. Outstanding job! Room was clean; comfy bed; cold AC. We will definitely visit Albany again.

The place was clean and location was great

We were stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes. The elevator was stuck on the 3rd floor and had to wait for the fire department to rescue us. Not impressed

The price was excellent, the location was nice, the room was nice and clean, staffs was very professional and friendly. I would definitely stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Albany-Downtown again and recommend friends and family. Did I mention the price was excellent. And my 12 year old daughter loves it and wanted to we stay longer.

I honestly did not like the breakfast. I feel that hey should have more and better options. The sausage was nasty and there was not bacon.

Very regal appearance, in addition to a great location that’s walking distance to many downtown areas.

There were a very large group of teenage kids who were loud and abnoxious on our third night and woke us up.

Some person called claiming to be my wife. They asked for my check-in time and room. They reception gave her the information. I am not married, never have been and I am being stalked. They gave her my personal information including room number and reservation information. I rented a car for a wedding just to be safe. I and my "make y" friend split up time so as to not leave to run unattended for long spans of time. My dog ( service animal ( was constantly on alert. I still feel unsafe knowing it was that easy to obtain personal information just by making a phone call. It is unacceptable. I hand stayed in other hotel and, less rated hotels and have not had this issue. I picked this hotel for location and ease of access to businesses not to feel threatened.

Check in was fast, room was perfect and although the valet parking was full when we checked in, the valet still offered to park our car and put it in the lot when a space opened up.

I hate that you need a key every time you get on the elevator
