Hollywood Historic Hotel

Good room not too far from Hollywood.

Aparcamiento fácil y cómodo si lo pagas. En Los Ángeles decir que está bien situado es muy relativo. Personal muy agradable y una habitación cómoda

Habitación muy pequeña

Location is amazing and it has a fairly cheap parking behind. Not sure if they do breakfast, but we didn’t have it. Very clean.

It is a bit outdated but it’s part of the charming of the hotel. Funny smell on the corridors.

The hotel location is good, it's close to the airport, Santa Monica and Griffith Park, which is really convenient. The bed was comfortable and large. Also the Edmon is a nice restaurant/bar which can be accessed directly from the hotel lobby. Lastly, the valet in the parking lot was extremely friendly and helpful.

There are few things that I thought were extremely disappointing about this particular hotel: 1. The parking costs $18 per night. Even though this information is disclosed in the hotel details, I found it very tacky to ask a rate which is comparable to the flat rate that is paid across most of the parking spaces in Los Angeles, I would have expected at least a customer discounted rate; 2. The rooms facilities are outdated. Old carpet and windows that do not stop the sounds coming from the main road. The bathroom is functional, but again very old with only soap tablets being provided alongside single-use bottles of shampoo. The A/C is an old Through-the-Wall unit that does not help in keeping the noises out of the room. The power sockets do not have USB/USBC slots. 3. Lastly, almost every day we would find small insects in our room (see the pictures). Now, for a hotel that does do not offer a lot to its guests (they don't even change the towels every day, a policy that I don't oppose by the way) you would a least imagine to have spotless rooms without bugs running around.
