Breakfast had no Splenda, arrived 30 minutes late, and was luke warm.
Would have liked a more knowledgeable and attentive person at check in desk. On time, hot breakfast would have been great.

Grounds and outdoor appearance were beautiful. The food in the dining room was delicious and breakfast served to the room was a nice touch. Staff was courteous.
Our room was called The Veranda suite and was advertised as having a Mississippi River view. There was no veranda per se and the river was so far out the view was mainly grass. The room itself is spacious but tired. Could use a Keurig and a true honor bar with soda. Could not manage to get ice for soda and the soda down in the lobby was limited and Luke warm. Pillows and bath towels need to be replaced. There is no help with your luggage and my almost 70 year old husband struggled a bit dragging ours up the flight of stairs to our room.

The one thing I didn't really like was the roads that you have to take to get to the resort.

The room was large. The bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. It was very quiet inside and outside the room. Make your own FULL pot of good coffee. Jacuzzi tub was relaxing. Breakfast was great. The place was like new.
No elevator and no offer of assistance to get our luggage up the skinny stairs. Took a long while to get the hot water up to temp. The view of the Mississippi was just the backwaters and was a long ways off. Long drive to the middle of nowhere.

The breakfasts were wonderful. There was plenty to eat. The evening meal was fabulous! There were many selections and the preparation and presentation were also exceptional. The staff was friendly and extremely professional.
Breakfast is generally served in the room but we were meeting friends from England and requested seating in the dining room. Our request was granted and the owners served us each morning.
There is nothing to dislike!!

you can’t shower with warm water, it takes about 20 min to warm water to starter to came out, is really hard to shower with cold water, not what you expect when you pay the much money

Loved having BK brought to the room, food was delicious and hot.
Dinner at the Goldmoor Inn, server forget to place our ticket and we waited 90 minutes for our food yet the food was delicious when it did come. The next day we received a handwritten note of apology from the owners, along with a bottle of champagne!

Amazing getaway weekend stay. The surroundings of the property are gorgeous. You must try the restaurant for dinner!

We loved the peaceful location and ambiance. It was very welcoming walking up the door. Very clean and classy feel inside. Front desk staff always had a smile. We never heard another guest during our stay. Very quiet. The restaurant was incredible. It was very nice to be able to walk to our room after having a very good meal rather the get in a car and drive. Breakfast delivered to our room each morning. Room cleaned and freshened up each day with cookies on the table.
It would have been nice to have more outdoor seating. Maybe a fire pit area. It was beautiful fall weather when we were there.

Goldmoor Inn is a beautiful place to stay. The staff is accommodating and the owners take time with the guests. The dinner was great and the in room breakfast is a nice touch. The room was comfortable and clean. We looked at places in Galena to stay, but chose here because of the view . We were not disappointed

The breakfast was outstanding both days we were there. Restaurant quality and hand delivered at the time you request. They even serve fresh juice with each meal.
This is exactly what we were looking for. The restaurant was closed for dinner on Tuesday & Wednesday, which were the 2 days we stayed. Great experience.

The location was secluded, but less than fifteen minutes from downtown Galena. Great views. The room was everything it claimed to be in the description.
The blinds in the room are not blackout and do not completely block from seeing in or out. Would not keep from booking again though.
