The Audubon House has the most spectacular view and location and is a great house for two couples. It is a shame that the advertised pictures do not reflect the 2023 status of the overgrown exterior, dirty hot tub area and the decks front deck furniture.

It might be wise to ask the rental company to air the downstairs bedrooms out before your arrival to eliminate the musty smell. The kitchen equipment needs updating, the pots and pans need good scrubbing and do not forget to bring tin foil if you need to use any other kitchen equipment. If you are expecting first class tableware, you will be surprised with the hodgepodge of table and glass ware provided. Go out to the area's nice restaurants and forget cooking, just enjoy the fabulous view. The Audubon House is extremely lacking TLC as the interior on arrival looks clean but there are items in the house that need repairing, the downstairs drape has an unsightly big rip, the ottoman upstairs has a bath towel covering a tear. A cleaning of the area rugs would be appreciated and general all over homeowner yearly maintenance care is needed. My standards are higher than most but just overlook the lack of care and pricey rental and enjoy the view.

we were given a different house at the last minute…we were so unhappy with the result. totally different area, very bare bones. we left early.

terrible towels, no tissue, coffee, far up the hill when we wanted to be on flat land.
