rooms are a bit small

Absolutely everything, the room was awesome, the staff was lovely. The best hotel I've ever stayed at.

It's convenient. Great for friends gathering.

Coffee and bar

Location was great, staff was friendly.

Would have preferred a self serve coffee/tea station every day - this was only available one of the 5 days we were there. Also would have liked some place to sit in the room, and more hangers. Rooftop bar was cool but could not get any service up there.

The rooms are very cute and the staff is friendly and very helpful. There is a little rooftop bar that is fun and has decent views. Check it out for a delicious cocktail. They also have great toiletries in the room!

The room has very little space for clothes. You're forced to live out of your suitcase. If you're traveling for work, I would look elsewhere. There's a small unstable desk with no chair and no iron or ironing board and the lights in the room are very dim. Also be aware the hotel has no signage apart from a plaque in the sidewalk. Look for paper coffee to find the hotel

MADE Hotel has an excellent location, close to Penn Station and 2 subway lines, NoMAd (therefore midtown, with easy access to both uptown and downtown). The room is cozy, and clean, with nice amenities. The staff is extremely friendly. Black coffee is complimentary for guests ate Paper Cafe, which is a nice way to start the day. It was an excellent stay, and we would definitely come back in the future.

The only issue was the shower space. The glass which separates it from the rest of the bathroom is too narrow, so the area gets all wet when taking a shower, soaking the bathroom mat. That was the only issue

Valet parking was very convenient. But you have to pay more for this convenience.

The bed was comfortable. It was a low platform-style bed, which would make it difficult for older people or those with mobility issues. The staff was personable, it had a nice ambiance and easy-going vibe.

The aesthetics were lovely, but overly focused on, more consideration for practical needs would benefit this hotel. The bathroom had very little space to store toiletries and little space in general for personal items in the room. The lighting was very low. If you are a person who takes time to do hair and make-up this might not be the place for you. Also, other reviews mentioned free daily coffee & wine, which was true except for the free part. They are included in a mandatory $25 per day service fee.

Even though rooms aren’t spacious, they are smartly arranged and organized for a comfortable stay with modern decor.

Bathroom lighting by the mirror is a single vertical strip of an LED light that nearly blinds you if you’re trying to do makeup or even just look at yourself I. the mirror. However, without the light it’s too dark, so there’s not a happy medium.

Great location and very comfy beds, everything else was really disappointing. I would recommend this hotel to people who have a high tolerance for noise from neighboring rooms, the hallway and on the upper floors also the rooftop bar. For everyone who likes a quiet retreat from their days and nights in the city I would not recommend staying here. For $500 a night I would have expected much better. + Location in midtown is great for a quick access to everything. We spend some time in Manhattan but also saw friends in Queens and Brooklyn - it never took us more than 30 mins to get to where we wanted to go + Super comfy bed and pillows

- Rooms are not soundproof at all. The walls are paper thin so expect to hear literally everything you don't want to hear from neighboring rooms and the hallway. We had lovely neighbors next door who either had a really deep sleep or who just enjoyed listening to the iPhone alarm in the morning. Their alarm went off around 8.30 every morning for 5+ minutes so after the first minute we were wide awake too and then enjoyed some more minutes of the symphony. The first morning we even checked our phones to make sure we didn't accidentally set an alarm because it sounded as if the device was right next to us. We like to sleep in a bit on our vacation so this really sucked. You can of course also understand conversations (lots of "OMG"...). Same is true for anything that happens in the hallway just much louder: doors shutting at every hour of the night, housekeeping and if someone is in the hallway you are involuntarily part of their conversation and can understand every word. We also asked for a room higher up which was a mistake because when the rooftop bar is open you feel as if your bed is right on the dance floor. Luckily, the club closes at 1am on the weekend and we were only affected by this once for two hours. Street noise is less of an issue as it is a rather quiet side street. - Shower situation: Our shower had a sloping ceiling which made it a bit claustrophobic for a tall guy like me. The shower just had a curtain which felt a bit cheap, more annoyingly though it clung to our legs every now and then. Water pressure was OK but shower head seemed scaled or something else was wrong with it as it was not a steady stream of water - Bed sheet was ripped in two places. I don't really care much about it but for their price point it is not acceptable - Room was clean except in the narrow gap between bed and windows (where I would leave my water bottle and glasses for a lack of other places)
