They have roadworks going on adjacent to the hotel. My room was facing those roadworks. So, not conducive to a relaxed stay and or sleep.
The external roadworks extended all night so my chance of getting a restful night were non - existent.
Could have been offered ear plugs or a different room?
Otherwise other parts of the hotel were excellent. The bars and breakfst areas notably.

I thought the reception staff were friendly and welcoming. we particularly enjoyed that the rooms were air conditioned - made for a very comfortable nights sleep! the beds were comfortable and the location of the hotel was perfect for the purpose of our trip.
if I was being picky the fruit at breakfast was left over from the day before and therefore it was not fresh. especially in this heat!

Location
Personally don’t like hotels with identikit rooms, but I needed to stay close to the city

This is a no nonsense hotel close to the main road south which works really well for a night's break in the drive to Cornwall. There's a restaurant next door with reasonable food and drinks and the rooms are functional and clean.

Beautiful location and very good restaurant
Had a problem with fridge in room, staff not interested spoke to 3 staff and 2 managers no one seemed interested kept saying light was on eventually swapped fridge. Paid for 2 days breakfast’s went in first day no problem
Day 2 stopped and told we had only paid for room only , mistakes happen but this was done in front of a queue of people most embarrassing no apology given. No organisation in breakfast people waiting at door while 3 managers in kitchen. Couldn’t wait each evening to get us out of bar shutters down by 10.50 both nights. Every morning it was like the Grand National trying to walk down the corridor having to get over sheets vacuum cleaners etc

Very well appointed, clean and comfortable room. Comfortable bed with high quality linen. Extensive range of TV channels including Sky Sports was a bonus. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff, helped solve a problem with redirecting a parcel for me with kindness and efficiency. Didn't eat breakfast, so cannot comment on the restaurant. Overall the hotel exceeded expectations and was only a short ride into Exeter.
Nothing, very satisfied in all respects

Nice hotel, outside area. The dining area looked lovely but didn't get given the opportunity to use it. Staff were friendly enough but felt a let down the morning for breakfast.
Tried getting a table for breakfast but unfortunately there wasn't any. I had been told by reception on checking in we didn't need to book for breakfast. Im guessing because there was a few if us this was the reason we couldn't get the table..7 in total, and we were checking in as singles/couples. Bit disappointed because it was my daughters graduation morning and we had gifts for her and it was going to be part of the whole celebrations. We did manage to have breakfast but only in the bar area and seemed a lot of effort for the gentleman dealing with my request of poached eggs which were not on the bar menu but on the main breakfast menu. As more of our party arrived he just seemed bewildered as to why they were a ordering food out there and not in the restaurant. He probably twigged eventually. 🤔

Our room was very comfortable. Nice bed and bedding. Nice towels. Good, quiet air con. Good value breakfast and a convenient location.
We had an issue with the bathroom cleanliness.

location of hotel, to exeter city centre, excellent.
didn't have breakfast.
so clean, very comfortable

Room very good. Clean and tidy. TV and kettle good. Bed comfortable, though duvet more suited to winter than a very hot and muggy night. Shower room fully disabled-friendly which meant toilet too high and washbasin too low for my needs but perfect for someone with disabilities.
I was unable to suss out the air-con, which meant I had to open a window, so I heard all the comings and goings from the gym (entrance next to room on ground floor) and some people were quite loud in their conversations at 11pm to Midnight.

Room was small, clean and on the back of the building so it was well away from the busy road.
Buffet breakfast was good with all the right things being offered whether cold or cooked.
Only public space was the bar area.
Very much a hotel for workers and business men looking for a night stop.
Location does not allow easy access to Exeter centre. Unlike all other Brend hotels that I have stayed in

Having an external door by which one could access one’s car, parked conveniently outside the room.

I did nt get the breakfast only because it was £15 per person. So expensive . The evening meals were priced accordingly. About the same as other establishments
£15 breakfasts

Exceptionally comfortable and convenient hotel to stay with essy accesd to parking.
Carvery always exceptionally good value and cooked and presented beautifully. Sadly on monday 5th I had a almond tart for dessert which was far from fresh with soggy pastry. I should have returned it!
9.0
The convenience and location. The comfort of the bedroom.
The breakfast. The bacon wasn't cooked enough. The grapefruit was off. More food needed replenishing.
6.0
Clean, had everything I needed.
There were quite a few ants running around the carpet and bathroom floor.
Expensive for a basic, albeit comfortable room (even if there were no ants).

Great mattress and pillows. AC very good. Nice to have windows that opens. Check in wasn't as friendly as we would have liked but was quick and efficient. Parking, whilst a busy day, was good with nice flat spaces.
Great WiFi available. Very good shower with plenty of water pressure. Good quality towels. Nice soap and shampoo.
Clean kettle, good, powerful hair dryer. Lighting in the room very good.
Pull out bed good enough for young children. Good black out curtains.
Room was slightly dirty. Found an old tissue between bed and bedside cabinet and a dirty cotton bud discarded under pull out bed. Lots of mould between tiles in bathroom, especially in shower.
Check in wasn't the friendliest but was over quick and efficient.
Information on calling between rooms and checkout times should be in the notes to guests.
TV was a mission to get working since everything was switched off at the mains for some reason.
One dirty teaspoon and plenty of dust on the wine glasses.
