as I arrived no one on the phone, after 3hrs of a very long drive stuff come very drunk.

I asked for the lodge to organise breakfast 2 weeks before the trip and in the morning they tell us no breakfast we need to go to the shop .

There were two hotels with almost the same name on the GPS I was using so tge taxi took me tocthe location of the one that had the name my booking.com confirmation had. Both there was no hotel there. We went to the other locale and although the name was different it had my reservation. I attempted to get information about a tour into the Salt pans and got no cooperation at all ivhasmd to go to my room and make some calls in order for me to book the outing l wanted.

Staff were totally indifferent to my reasonable requests. My room was not completely cleaned. There two beer bottle tops sitting on top of the small fridge.

The property is definitely not as per the photos supplied on Booking.com The location is directly on the main street with trucks passing and not as per the directions supplied

There was lots of confusion about payment with very strong words exchanged in the morning

The staff didn't know we were coming and were not friendly. There was no electricity until the evening. The shower and toilet did not work. The room was not cleaned. There was mosquitoes in the room that came in from various places including the front door. Not recommended at all.

The property was a mess.Papers and litter lying all over the property and Infront of our room. We payed to much for what we got.Will not recommend it. Very bad experience!!!

It was evident that they never expected us. Upon seeing the room, we asked for an "upgrade" because it was situated about 30m from one of the busiest hi-ways in Botswana and VERY noisey. The alternative room was slightly better. At 14:00 the communal kitchen had not been cleaned since breakfast, and dishes piled up etc As there is a shortage of accomm in town my partner "paid the bill" and we went to the bird sanctuary with idea of returning later. After discussing, and with time on our side, we decided to abort and travel on to Francistown for the night. We phoned the venue and explained the situation, and our concerns. They understood and offered a refund (less the booking agent fees) but this has not been forthcoming.
