Clean, spacious, super friendly. Environmentally conscientious. Had a wonderful stay.

Very good hostel for short or longer stay in Ballater. Stuff was very helpful to recommend us good restaurant and interesting sites in city. Commune kitchen was well equipped to prepare you breakfast with tea or coffee for free. Room was good and big enough for three people. Ii is located under the roof with only roof window. Good value for reasonable price

Exceptionally friendly staff, very nice community feel. Lovely calm and friendly atmosphere in communal areas. Decor lovely and living room/kitchen area very spacious but feels homely. Will be back.

Very quaint in a very nice location with great facilities and a great host too!!

The host is extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities are great: laundry facilities on site were much appreciated, and the communal areas were spacious, attractive and well equipped.

You can't park at the property, although there is free on-street parking (if you can get a spot) nearby, and free public carparks not too far away. You can't check in til 5pm, which seems quite late in the day - especially if the weather is not great and you're keen to get indoors!

Lovely little place. Got a great breakfast recommendation in the morning as well.
