all good I liked everything

The breakfast was good.and plentiful. Our requests were accomodated. The lady who primarily served us was very pleasant. The breakfast area was spacious and lovely. The location was attractive and pleasantly rustic.

The main negative was the room. It was very very small and disappointing. It was cramped lacked coffee making supplies, fridge, tv microwave. The carpets didn't seem clean. It was a very disappointing room. There was no water provided though glasses were provided so tap water was available in the bathroom. There was no coffee or other drink in reception area either except at breakfast.

This is not a “cookie cutter” hotel/motel/Inn similar to a Hilton , a Marriott or a Holiday Inn . This is a 200 year old Inn that has character and great charm . From the moment you drive into the parking lot and come through the front door you will appreciate the difference. Reception is friendly , personal and comfortable. The reception area reminds you of the Inns that you saw in the movies of bygone years . The staff is helpful and cheerful . Our room , #10 , had three windows for light , a very comfortable 4 poster bed , 2 comfortable wingback chairs, and had A/C plus a ceiling fan as well as iron , ironing board , small personal fan and everything that you might need . The bath was bright and compact in typical Inn fashion with all necessary equipment as well as toiletries . Nice common lounge was right next to our room for meeting with friends and relatives . Breakfast was very good with home made muffins/ scones , made to order local fresh eggs or pancakes plus fresh fruit . All in all a very complete breakfast . There is a restaurant/ pub on site but we were unable to avail ourselves of it. It looked very nice with indoor and outdoor dining available . WiFi was good in our room . Will definitely return when in the area

The bed was horrific, the mattress was worn out (it had hollows and we were sinking), as well as the bed frame. The building is old and historic and we appreciate that, but for that price range I expected a much better bedding. Also, the shower head in room 7 was not adjustable and sending water towards our head (not body), which was really unpleasant. I notified a guest complaining about that a year ago already, and obviously that comment had not been taken into account. Also, I needed assistance after 8 PM and could not find a single staff member in the hotel available to held (nor phone number I could reach, nor any instruction for that matter). Again, I was disappointed by the service for that price range.

Breakfast is included and was excellent. In fact all food here is beyond expectations. The restaurant is a main feature, and food was always a treat.
