"A pocos pasos de la hermosa playa. La casa era espaciosa y bien equipada. Lavadora y secadora eran grandes (y grandes que ayudaron). Teníamos 18 personas (mitad niños, mitad adultos, mezcla de 2 meses a abuelo) y la casa nunca se sintió abarrotada. Un montón de asientos fuera también. Todo estaba limpio y ordenado y nos encantó la piscina y la proximidad a la playa. La cocina estaba bien equipada y los dos lavaplatos fueron muy útiles. Hubiera sido bueno tener un bote de basura adicional o dos, no estoy seguro de si esa es una opción, pero estaban llenos del inquilino anterior cuando llegamos (el agente de bienes raíces hizo arreglos para que se recogiera algo, así tendríamos más espacio). Realmente fueron unas vacaciones maravillosas en una excelente ubicación. La casa está muy cerca de las tiendas de comestibles y de un fácil acceso a Duck para ir de tiendas y restaurantes. La piscina era maravillosa (ya que tenía dos duchas al aire libre para enjuagar cuando regresaba de la playa). The house was very comfortable. There was an issue with a leaky toilet and a maintenance person came right away. The location is great and the kitchen is very well appointed. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would come back to this house. The location between Corollla and Duck was ideal and not far from Harris Teeter. The house was also not right next to other houses and the walkway to the beach was new and fine. The hot tub was great.

Here are some pros about this property. Oceanfront location was great. Stairs down to the beach were fine until the last step, which you basically had to jump off of. Good thing there was a public walkway right nextdoor. Kitchen was very well equipped and even had a KitchenAid mixer.Now the cons. I was first to arrive at he house and had to run out and get some Windex to clean the windows(at least the ones I could reach) as they were FILTHY and hard to see the view. The washing machine worked to some degree but did not spin the clothes enough and had to put them in the dryer at least twice. The plastic shower curtain in my room was very moldy. Wasn't too keen on the walkway to the beach having no access to the ground pool area. Bascially you had to go through the house with sandy feet to get downstairs. The junk left by multiple previous tenants(broken chairs and umbrellas) could have been cleaned up. This could be a very nice rental if the property managers showed they cared more. I know I will not rent this property again and not sure if I would rent through beach realty.

We have been vacationing in OBX for 20 years. This was one of the good ones! Really love how “on top of the water” the house was. The way it’s positioned- we were literally able to see the kids in the ocean from the living room window! Only downside if I were to find one, was there is no stairs to the pool when you are coming back from the ocean. Otherwise - really enjoyable place!

Our family of 20 really enjoyed our stay and already rebooked the same home for next summer. Pros: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Can’t beat being right on the beach with our own private access. The kitchen and common areas were spacious. Kitchen was well-stocked. Gate at the top of the stairs was good for safety for kids and containing the dog. Cons: No direct pool-to-beach access (had to go inside, upstairs, then out again and vice versa). This made for a sandy house since there was no hose/wash area on the 2nd level where the beach access is located. Beds somewhat uncomfortable. Volleyball area is unusable because of weeds. No early check-in. Rental company was very responsive and quick to act on issues that came up (missing towels, AC needed repair, etc).

We loved the house- layout perfect, beautiful views, good amenities, and great AC. Beach Reality makes things easy and responsive to requests.House does need a really good deep clean though and not satisfied with how we received it. Dog hair on beds, floors/bathrooms not very clean, found trash on dresser (including a retainer) and outside, and blood on sheets of one of the beds (not sure they had been changed). Also, mattresses could be updated. Also, would suggest at some point adding another refrigerator to upstairs- needed for a home this size.

I would like to add attachments of pictures and videos I took upon arrival. The place was not clean to say the least. They sent a crew of six to the property after I complained that did make some improvements. I had to spend half the next day cleaning, many of the windows were so filthy you could not see through them. The grounds were trashy and not kept. The AC did not work on the lower levels, when we reported the issue a technician was dispatched. He confirmed that the unit was blowing at 77 degrees with the setting of 72 and needed an HVAC specialist. That was the last we heard from anyone regarding the AC. Very, Very disappointing

This is a perfect beachfront property....nice view of the ocean, sunrise and sunset. We love the location.The place need a some cleaning like... the 2 shower curtains has molds, ceiling funs were dusty, there were sand on the pool, the bunk bed mattress need to be replaced, windows need some ckeaning. Other than that it is worth the price and stay. We all had a WONDERFUL TIME. Will rent it again.

The location and layout of Ocean Dream was awesome. But there are some thing that need to be attended to. Cleaning before our arrival was not up to par at all. I have been going down to the OBX for the last 26 years and it seems after COVID hit, the cleaning of the properties between rentals has gone down tremendously. I don't believe this is an owners issue but more of the rental company to have certain standards for when the staff they hire go and cleans these homes. Not enough people but the rates keep going up. I was surprised of the wonderful gift the owners gave during our stay. We received a homemade cheesecake with cut up peaches on top. Outstanding and very thoughtful of the owners. I would probably get some of the sliding doors fixed. Then do need some TLC and the carpet at the stairs needs to be swept weekly by the cleaning crews. They are not doing it for sure.

Beach access gate completely blocked by sand and led to a 15ft drop off even if accessible, pool not vacuumed, blurry unwashed windows, filter in AC unit disgusting and filter dated 2015 (new filters right next to disgusting one, just not installed), dishwasher rack broken, none of the mention beach equipment or play equipment available, several drains clogged, 0 response from company when called on these items. A good deal for the price if a slum lorded property is tolerable for you. The beautiful house next door was twice the price but likely much cleaner and not in disrepair.

We have stayed in Ocean Sands A four times and this home was tired compared to the others. You can’t beat the location. The view from the top floor is stellar. Spring storms washed out the bottom section of steps to the beach which haven’t been replaced, where obviously the neighbors have made this effort. Several screens to slider doors were torn. The freezer door did not open and close properly. The microwave stopped working mid-week. The queen master on the first floor did not have a useable closet because it was an equipment closet. That room also didn’t have Wi-Fi reception and the air conditioner outside vibrated in the bed when it was running. The housekeeping was ok. The home seemed clean enough upon arrival but the towel packages were missing washcloths and bath mats and a couple bathrooms had no shower curtain liner. Although rectified, these are details a renter on vacation should not have to deal with.

the house had a fabulous location, literally on the beach...however, many things didn't happen that should have. The pool was not heated ahead of time, even though we called a month, a week, and the day of arrival to remind the company to start heating it. The hot tub was broken more than 50% of the time we were there. The outside of the house was covered in bugs, meanwhile all the screen doors were broken on the decks, and all master bedrooms. We had to keep the doors closed. The first 2 days the air conditioner was broken on the top floor, where the handicap bedroom elderly mom had to sleep in the heat. Most issues were taken care of EVENTUALLY, but return calls were not timely. We had to get in the car and drive to the rental office to make things happen.

Loved the location! The house size and set up was wonderful. The beds and furniture were clean and comfortable. The biggest, and pretty significant issue was that all of the sliding doors slide wide enough for my Mom's wheelchair to go thru. We are luckily pretty craft and were able make a modification, but honestly should have had to. It would have been a significant problem. Overall the trip and house were great. The small issues we found were the tops of all of the ceiling fans were filthy, there were spider webs all over the outside of the house and decks...understood they just spin again, but you can tell it's been ages since last removed. Also, there should be a broom/dust pan and mop/mop bucket. We bought our own because I wanted to maintain the home's cleanliness. But truly our vacation was wonderful. None of the things are game changers, just was to make the property even better. The cheesecakes delivered were a delicious and appreciated gesture. Who ever makes them really needs to put a business card or sticker on the box for repete business. We would have ordered something else from them. Thank you very much! We hope to be back next year.

The view is awesome. The kitchen is really very well equipped. Weather was perfect. As for the house. 1 the outside was terrible. You should not be able to even say there is a volleyball court. Weeds everywhere. If you didn't like sitting on lounge chairs there were no chairs outside to sit on. 2 the mattresses really need replaced. Most everyone where very uncomfortable due to being over use. We have rented a house for 12 years in Corolla. Our family had a wonderful week being together even though we were disappointed with somethings we really enjoyed the view of the ocean from the top rooms of the house.

There were 14 in our group, 11 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 preteens. The location and views from the great room cannot be matched. The house was clean and the kitchen was better stocked than any we've stayed in for the past 10 years. My one suggestion is improve the outside appearance to make it match the outside.

Overall, it was an average dwelling when compared to similar properties. Great view and very spacious house. Negatives: many of the dished were dirty, had to buy ant motels b/c of ants inside the house, pool had a ton of sand in it and only got worse as the week went on, and the exterior of the house is not very aesthetically pleasing. Also, the advertised volleyball court was virtually non-existent. No net and the entire area covered with a little grass and all weeds.

This house is amazing! Great location. Very well equipped and nicely furnished. We didn't need all the bedrooms but the ones we used were very comfortable. The owners sent us their traditional cheesecakes which were greatly appreciated and enjoyed by all. Very clean inside. It looks like they are starting on some TLC for the outside which we understand gets beaten up by the ocean spray and sand. It did need a little TLC around the pool and the decks and railing. Beach in front of home very nice and wide. We really appreciated the beach chairs and not having to deal with the hassles of renting beach gear. We also really appreciated the towel and linen service that was included. Very helpful! Overall great house! Will rent again.

PLACE WAS VERY CLEAN AND HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK OF IS IT NEEDS ANOTHER GARBAGE CAN AS ONE IS NOT ENOUGH WHEN YOU HAVE A LARGE FAMILY. OTHERWISE THE STAFF AND PLACE WERE EXCELLENT. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT VACATION.

In general I was happy with my stay at this particular house. The view of he beach was spectacular, the kitchen was well stocked and the house interior was decent and clean. On the downside the exterior of the house could use a good paint job and the deck also needs some work. Of the 11 people who came with us on the weekend not one person got away with out getting splinters from the deck. In the interior on the first and second floors many of the interior doors were improperly hung, no matter were you wanted the door to stop they always swung wide open. Also on these same floors the outside sliding glass doors were hard to open and close and many of the exterior screen doors were also hard to operate. This could be a great house to stay in if a few things were attended to without attention to these items I do not think I would stay there again.

Excellent, awesome, best ever. House is situated beautifully on top of the dune with a picture perfect view of the ocean from the living room. Ocean Dream is well equipped from the kitchen, to the bedrooms, outdoor showers, great grill and deck furniture.

The house was very clean when we got there and everything was present that was supposed to be (bed linens and towels). We loved that it was right on the beach, even if the ocean water was to cold for swimming, the pool and the hot tub more than made up for that. A person came about half way through the week to clean the pool and hot tub of sand, which was a nice surprise and we even got a cheesecake gift from the owners. How nice! All in all, we had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave!

Perfect family getaway, the big open floor plan was perfect for hanging out and family dinners. Views of the ocean from top floor were amazing. A little updating and cleaning on the outside of the house would be nice but overall my family and I were very satisfied with our stay at Ocean Dream.

The location is extraordinary, directly on beach. Views, proximity to ocean, wonderful! Some issues encountered: no working ice machines in either refrigerator;airconditioning problems - top floor would not cool, one basement bedroom would not cool, but 2nd floor and rest of basement were icy cold.Noise from air conditioning unit next to basement bedroom was bothersome to occupants of that room.Excessive amounts of sand in pool (sand blows from dunes, under gate). Were told it is only vacuumed once, at beginning of stay-this is inadequate. Not to say this wasn't a positive rental experience - many things were very fine: 2 large gas grills, well appointed kitchen,with anything needed/desired, hot tub was exceptionally nice; owner sent two blueberry cheesecakes as a thank you - never have any other owners done such a nice thing in more than a dozen years renting on OBX.

The Ocean Dream property worked out well for our family vacation. You can't beat the location in Corolla and having a house on the beach with a pool was wonderful. We traveled from FL, PA and NJ to be together for this vacation and had fabulous time. We would definitely recommend this house to others. P.S. Please tell the owners we loved the cheese cakes what a very nice surprise!
