We enjoyed our 2-night stay at this pousada and would book again to stay longer. Quiet and beautiful grounds to relax! The included breakfast and dinner ($) were fantastic.

As much as we enjoyed our stay, we would have appreciated a turn-down/room clean service.

Great central location, open relaxing spaces and quiet.

That reception (frontline staff) did not speak any english. Communication proved to be difficult but staff always tried their hardest to accommodate our requests such as second bedside table lamp in twin room or allocating a room with patio as we booked.

This stunning hotel is set on the edge of the Serra forest. It sits 2 minutes walk from the centre of Chapada down a quiet street. The staff were welcoming, and the room was nice, with a huge bed. Afternoon tea was lovely - we met the chef who is very competent and nice. The breakfast was nothing short of stunning, such an array of choice, it was astonishing! (I'll always be a fan of breakfast chocolate cake! Never gets old!) I enjoyed swimming in the sweet little pool too, and playing snooker in the amazing outside lounge.

Our first day was lovely and peaceful. Our second day, the hotel owner had invited a film crew in to shoot photos. It was a real disruption to our peace. (If they'd bothered to tell us, then we wouldn't have booked. It really spoiled our "second honeymoon" ) The fridge in our room made a noise like a washing machine. (I had to unplug it..) The floor of our bedroom was dirty when we arrived. We had to clean our feet after a walk to the bathroom and back. We asked for the rubbish to be removed from the room, but nobody bothered to do that. We had to ask for loo roll, as there was only half a roll, and when the room was serviced, they didn't replace the loo rolls. The overall, was the owner who must have realised the photo shoot would disturb people, but did it none-the-less. We had to leave early, and there was nobody to complain to - I'd have liked my second day refunded.. but the management weren't there - no doubt exhausted after a busy day organising the film team...
