Shower did not work. But the staff arranged the next room for us to use the washroom. Pool water was not that clean.

Leijay is one of those off the radar gems. It is a large compound full of coconut and other palm trees. The pool is large and clean. The rooms are quaint and well maintained. The staff is attentive. The birds, butterflies, bats, squirrels, and (occasional) monkeys turn it into a real nature paradise right outside your bedroom. The price is well under the norm for Galle.

It is hard to find something bad to say about such a tranquil paradise. If I had wanted to wake up to the ocean, then this would not have been the right place, but that was not my intent.
