We all loved the house. It was exactly as it appeared in VRBO and the front gate opened directly to stepping into the ocean for swimming. Charmling 19th century captain's house. Completely updated baths and kitchen and close to restaurants, grocery stores and the ferry to Korcula.

I am so happy we chose this house. It was incredible from start to finish. The location was perfect for us, right across the path from the sea and so close to shops, bakeries and restaurants. We swam in the sea every day and walked to the beach further along to rent paddle boards and jet skis. I thought we would take the ferry to Korcula more often but Orebic had lots to offer. Check out the fish seller next to the supermarket (open till 12) and the wine shop there too. As for the house, it is comfortable and utterly charming - we loved the pool and the tortoises in the garden. The kitchen is small but extremely well equipped and was a pleasure to cook in, we ate at the large dining table most days with the doors open to the beautiful gardens and the sea beyond. I can't recommend this house enough and would really love to return.

Thoroughly recommend this property
The views from this house are stunning. The sea is literally across the road/lane. Well equipped house with lovely garden and barbeque at the back with outdoor table and chairs. The air conditioning was a must. Very relaxing area to sunbathe by the pool despite passersby peering through the gates because the house is so attractive. The pool is not large but perfect for cooling off.

If you're looking for a beautiful, unique and relaxing property for a getaway then this is definitely it! Villa Agnes is a former Captain's house which has been beautifully restored by its present owners, with a good mix of original and modern features, and with beautiful antique and shabby chic furniture. Just staying at the property makes you feel very special, and whilst you do get some people looking through the gate at the end of the lovely garden and pool area to take photographs, it made us realise how lucky we were to be stopping in such a special historical property. Villa Agnes is just a few metres from the pebble/rocky beach on the main promenade, so you're close to everything you need whilst having a lovely secluded and relaxing feel. The pool is an absolute godsend when it's hot and is bigger than it looks in the photos. Betina the housekeeper is very helpful and responds to any queries immediately, as did the owners during the booking process. The property has aircon in the two main (front) bedrooms and top bedroom and in the dining room. I don't think it had it in two of the bedrooms, so if I'm right that would be a nice addition in the future as I would definitely like to go back with others and aircon in every bedroom would be ideal. Orebic itself is lovely in September when the crowds have died down and is just a 15 minute ferry ride from the beautiful Korcula Island (otherwise known as the mini Dubrovnik!) , which we visited twice as it's so close. This really is the perfect place to stay and I will definitely be going back again at some point!

Fabulous family holiday home by the sea
The beautiful old captain’s house is right by the sea and promenade. Its spacious old house, pretty garden with the lovely little pool, barbeque in the back garden, outdoor seating area and amazing views out over the island of Korcula make for a wonderful chilled place to enjoy the quiet beauty of Orebic. Thoroughly recommend the house and area to families. Thanks for having us and to Betina for helping us during our stay.

Traumhafte Location

Wonderful holiday - suitable for all our family
It was good to meet Marijana and Timothy and thank you for a lovely holiday in your beautiful house and garden. We very much appreciated the air conditioning at night as it was a hot week. Wi-Fi was also a bonus especially with teenagers. The pool although not big was perfectly fine, great just to keep cool and certainly enjoyed by the boys for playing and also great with a lilo and book!. Wonderful to have the sea within a few metres and we all had a daily dip. Everything was on the doorstep and although we hired a car for journey to and from airport (cheaper than a taxi) did not use it whilst there. Great to have the bakers so close, you can get there and back before the kettle boils! Wonderful atmosphere outside in the evenings and we had some lovely meals in 4 restaurants all within a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed Bettina’s happy chat each morning whilst looking after the pool, although we had no questions it was nice to have contact.
One small point, we did have trouble finding the villa, although we found the road quite easily we did walk up and down for an hour between the water park and the ferry (the heat didn’t help) looking for number 2 Villa Agnes and even asked at the information centre who were no help (and you were actually next door!) The sign outside the villa is ‘Kucaza Odmor’ which we presumed was the name of the villa but now I have googled it means ‘holiday home’ which did not help at the time!
We would definitely recommend this holiday and were sorry to leave but hope one day to return. Thank you.

A lovely holiday in this brilliantly situated house: perfect for swimming, snorkelling, strolling, restaurants, ice cream and ferries to Korcula.

Charming villa in a beautiful place
We were 6 adults and 3 teenagers/kids staying in the house, and we all loved it. Villa Agnes is amazing and you have close access to everything you need, anything from a fully equipped house to swimming pool, the beach, restaurants, bars, ice cream vendors (so good) etc. Two of the bedrooms in the villa don't have AC but a big fan instead which made sleeping there a bit less pleasant than in the other rooms (we were there during Lucifer). Marijana and Bettina supported in the best way, always replying quickly to any questions we had. Finally, never heard about Orebic before but can really recommend it as a place to visit. Mostly local tourists and a genuine athmosphere. Thanks for having us, would love to come back.

Beautiful villa and village. Amazing outdoor space.
The villa, the view, the garden and the surroundings were amazing. Though I missed having a comfortable sofa indoors for the kids to hang out in, and a couple of more outdoor sunbeds/sun chairs as we where 9 people and there were only 5 all together.
But we absolutly enjoyed our stay and recommend the village and the house.
If you are to stay I recommend a trip to Korcula and Lambarda beach as well as tracking up to the monestary and the restaurant Hird.

Fantastic house in a fantastic location
The house is very well presented and is located on the beach front in a picturesque village. The owner and the manager are both excellent. Thanks.

The perfect vacation spot
We where two families (4 adults and 4 children) that spent a week in this wonderful villa with a perfect location in Orebic. Really good support from the hosts with all questions asked. The villa is just super. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Fantastiskt!
Vår värd Bettina gav oss också bästa möjliga service.
Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

Viila Agnes is a stunning villa, perfectly located in the old historic town of Orebic.
Beautifully restored Old Captains House with amazing views, pool and the beach just across the road.
House is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Great house, great holiday....LOVED it
We stayed at Villa Agnes in early September as two couples with our young children (3 and 1 year olds) and had a wonderful holiday.
The house is immaculate, charming, clean, has everything you need and right in the centre of town/ opposite the beach.
The owner was great to book with, accommodating our young children and supplying extra cots as needed and very well organised locally with Bettina being on hand with any issues that occurred (not that we really had any!).
Orebic is a smallish town but definitely charming and has some lovely restaurants, good variety of beaches, bakeries, supermarkets, watersports and connectivity to Korcula which was a great day out.
All in all a great place and cant wait to go back.

Excellent stay at Villa Agnes
A group of 7 spent an excellent 10 days at Villa Agnes in July. The property is just as beautiful as the pictures suggest ; amazing views, lovely pool and garden with a well appointed rooms! It was great not to have to bring towels and the linin was changed every couple of days. It was very hot during our stay and so air conditioning in most of the bedrooms was a major plus.
The pool was larger than we had expected and although the beach is literally a couple of metres away, we used the pool every single day. Swimming shoes are essential as the beach is pebbles and there are quite a few sea anemones with sharp spines attached to the rocks. The water is crystal clear and fabulous to swim in !
The small town has a good mix of bars restaurants and shops plus a couple of great home made ice-cream vendors! We self catered mostly ( quite well equipped kitchen) there is a medium size supermarket nearby and a much larger version fully stocked one on the outskirts of the town. Local agent Betina was super helpful and friendly and the pool man/ gardener worked hard to maintain high standards. Although we had a vehicle, we only used it once, preferring to take the ferry as foot passengers and didn't find the need to venture further.
We had an amazing holiday and would thoroughly recommend this property and hope to return!

Elegant villa with amazing views
Villa Agnes has been carefull restored with love by its current owners. You'll find everything you need for a great holiday, but note there are only fans in the bedrooms no a/c but we were there at an unusually hot time! Every time you walk upstairs you are greated by that wonderful sea view and you can't help but feel that you are in a special place! We came to love the central location with cafes, restaurant, bakery, shops and ice-cream parlours on your door step, not to mention the sea and a lovely little beach (don't forget your sea-shoes for Croatia). The garden gates do open out on to the promenade which is busy at night night but we soon grew accustomed to the tourists curiousity and loved being able to pop in and out of the night time activities. Marijana provides an efficient booking service which makes your planning feel easy.

Amazing Villa with great location
Villa Agnes is beautiful on pictures, but the pics don't tell the whole reality. The Villa is even more beautiful in real. It is professionally restored both inside and out. The location is perfect, in the middle of the small town and the gate is only five steps from the sea. If you prefer complete privacy, you may be disturbed by traffic and photographers in front of the villa. We didn't find it unpleasant. Restaurants and coffee bars are behind the corner. If you choose this one, don't miss the ice cream bar (the one with the huge cone front of the house) delicious ice creams and very happy&friendly staff.

Vert Nice stay
We had a wonderful stay at villa Agnes: the house is superb and in the heart of the village, in front of the sea and short walk to ferry to Korcula. We stayed one week with 3 kids and all enjoyed our stay.
