On a cold day in January we had a lovely warm overnight in Riverton. Just off Route 66 and full of Route 66 spirit. Thanks for a great stay!

Great stay at Route 66 in Riverton. We had 4 adults and 1 child during our stay. Originally from the area and loved how this and old Post Office turned into a place to stay. The back yard was huge and great to use with family. The games that were provided was a nice touch. Would like to see a step added to go outside on the front porch. It’s a big drop and at night it was easily missed. When we come back to the area we will definitely come back and stay again. Thanks again for the nice place to stay during our time with family.

Great place to stay at. We went to a few of the recommended places to visit and they were spot on! Thanks for the snacks and juices. Very clean and comfy here. Classic Route 66 hospitality!

I needed a comfy place to stay while on a long road trip. This was a cute and cozy place for and my pups to crash for the night.

My husband and I stayed one night at this B&B and we loved it! They have done a great job with the renovation and still keeping the authenticity of the building.

Exactly as described. Perfect halfway point between Minneapolis and Houston for a fun weekend with my daughters. Continental breakfast included was an added bonus with fresh fruit. Thank you. We really enjoyed exploring the area and had some really great food. The only thing to take note of: if you are a light sleeper there are vehicles passing by all night long that you can hear but nothing a white noise app on your phone cannot take care of :-)

This rental was perfect for my grandson and I to stay.
A great location for visiting family.
We knew it had been the Old Riverton Post Office and just loved the idea of it. We loved it. My grandson turned 14 while we were there, he was surprised when we walked in to an awesome birthday surprise from the owners.
We would definitely stay here again.

My girlfriend and I were very pleased with the layout and overall feel of the place. It was clean and had everything we needed. This was one of the more unique styles that we've stayed in, but this along with the surrounding areas were all a part of a great get away!

Kansas surprise.
On an extended road trip my wife and I looked for a VRBO in close proximity to friends we wanted to visit in Columbus, Kansas. On booking we had not realized the remoteness of the Old Post but it turned out to be very convenient for our visit. We had all that we needed and were comfortable. I would suggest to the owners that some repairs be made to the shower curtain before it falls on some future guest. Sometimes I think that I should have. my toolbox with me when we travel.

My family and I only stayed one night but it was a unique experience. The decor really take you back. Thank you Jim and Kristi for the muffins, coffee and juice, it was a nice surprise. The only
downside was the view of the electric substation across the street. Otherwise it was very nice.

I travel a lot for work and play. It is the little things that make a difference. Decorating, towels, esthetics, and thoughtfulness. Like fresh fruit in the refrigerator, muffins, orange juice, and robes hanging from the closet door. It says the property manager/managers are thinking about the guest. Thank you for the Little Things!!!

Blast to the Past
What a fun find! The building itself use to be a grocery store/post office in it’s glory days and is now an events center with an amazing retro apartment above. There is a balcony that spans the length of the building that is great for relaxing. The apartment is neatly decorated with retro items and plenty of functional equipment to make your stay comfortable. This was a very relaxing and fun stay.

I stayed at the Old Riverton Post because It's located in the neighborhood that I grew up in. I thought it would be cool to stay there because I spent a lot of time in the apartment as a kid with numerous friends that lived there and it was very much like I remembered. That being said, the old building would provide a trip to the past for anyone! I would recommend turning off your phones, and play cards or board games at the table, or read some of the old books that are in the apartment. Would stay here again for sure.

This was a nice little getaway for us as a couple. Highly recommend. I will say that we arrived on a Sunday evening while a birthday party or something was occurring in the community center under the apartment. You can hear every single thing through the old floor vents. Thankfully we were just dropping our bags and heading off to dinner in Joplin, and then the party was over and the crowd gone when we got back. Overall though it was relatively quiet the rest of our stay.

We loved our stay. Super clean and Property owners was great with fast response to any questions we had. Dollar general very close! Came in handy so thought I'd share. Things to consider if not staying with partner. Floors are noisy. All wood so kinda expected with age of property, Also the only bathroom is in the main bedroom. The other bedroom offers no privacy either. We originally had 6 total guests down just incase but glad only 2 because there wasn't enough stuff to accommodate 6. Such as bedding and towels. And if there is an event downstairs you can here every little thing. It was a kids bday party. But during day so not to bad. But overall I highly recommend staying here it's super neat. But if not with partner or say a girl's weekend take above into consideration!

Fun Sister Weekend
The owners were responsive and helpful. If we needed anything, they provided it quickly. It was my sister’s birthday and they had a chocolate bar that said “happy Birthday” on it. They notified me after booking that there was an event from 6-9pm downstairs. It was still going on at 9:30. I texted them and it did not wrap up until 10pm. That was the only negative of our stay.

Very Unique Getaway
This very unique property is awesome. The character of the building and the large living space will make this a great place to spend the night or and extended stay. The property owners were great and very responsive. The property is located 1 block off of Route 66. It is super clean and decorated very nicely. The front porch was great for a relaxing glass of wine after a long day on the road. Highly recommended.
