The location was great and it was very clean, the beds were comfortable enough.

It. Was. So. Noisy. There is zero sound protection from outside or the flat above. We were woken up every night between 12am and 2am with whoever was upstairs, doing god knows what, then at 7:30am by builders next door and traffic outside. No coffee or tea was left; I did not see a coffee machine. There as also no microwave which would have been useful, as would some hair conditioner. But these are minor things compared to the noise issues, neither I nor my travel companion got any sleep at all.

It was clean and the landlord was responsive to questions. Nice furniture.

The alarm system was challenge to learn at first.

The apartment is located in the old part of Lisbon in the Alfama area. Access to the apartment was easy with a code. The alarm system is more complicated, where you have to lock the apartment after each exit. It takes a few exits to get used to it. The bed was comfortable, there is also air conditioning. The view from the window of the cathedral was beautiful. It is quiet at night.

Alfama has its charm, but you have to know that from the center you will always return to large hills. Narrow streets, a few homeless people around, sometimes it is not a very pleasant feeling. Next time I would probably not choose this area. The photos (maybe more of a visualization) no longer correspond to reality. The floor in the kitchen is quite damaged. There is almost no storage space in the apartment, only two drawers and 2 hooks in the bedroom and hangers in the living room. The sink in the bathroom did not drain very well. Part of the shower screen was already torn off, so water partially gets into the bathroom. The bathroom used expensive marble, but the rest of the equipment remains without repair and the edges of the shower are very moldy. I don't understand why the cleaners don't use a mold remover. Also, the fan in the bathroom didn't work, so it's very humid. The TV is not smart, no Netflix etc. The coffee maker worked very poorly (you have to hold the water container, otherwise the water flows all over the kitchen) and there were no capsules. This type of capsules can be bought at Continente. Maybe I'm only writing negative things here. The apartment was livable, but I wouldn't choose it again.
