Beautiful property, lovely and clean, everything you need and just so cosy. The wood burner was a great feature and made a rainy Saturday evening perfect. The Stable is lovely and peaceful. Jean was there if we needed anything. We will definitely be returning to the Stable and already looking for our next dates!

Thd Stable is a lovely little holiday home with all amenities and a beautiful garden. What we liked the most was the location at the end of a long windy road which ended in a track.

Wonderful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of life. Jean was very helpful and the cake was delicous.
The Stable was spotlessly clean and very well equipped for self catering. Highlight of stay was watching all the different birds coming to feed.
Would certainly return.
Thank you

I would recommend the stables to anyone that wants tranquillity, peace and quiet away from the noise of ‘life’. Just sitting listening and watching the birds and the nature is truly fab & we found ourselves instantly relax as soon as we arrived. The hosts were wonderful and gave a lot of local information on places to eat etc & the cake on arrival was gorgeous. The stables are exceptionally well kept and spotlessly clean. We just wish we could have stayed longer. We were blessed with lovely weather & did a lot of walking whilst we were there. We left some of the walks in the stables in case future guests wanted to make use of them. We would highly recommend the restaurant at the hotel called Pen-y-Duffryn which is only a 15 minutes walk away from the stables. We will most definitely be back! xx

Feel thoroughly chilled out now that we are back from our weekend away. The Stable is stunning and really cosy with the log burner. Beautiful views, loads of wildlife on the doorstep and really friendly hosts who even left us a lovely piece of cake each for our coffee on arrival. Stable is fully equipped and well worth a visit. Wow! We had the best weekend for our first wedding anniversary. The moment we drove through the trees to approach this beautiful place we were calm.
Our stay was so wonderful, the stable is the most perfect place to escape and unwind.
We both needed a break and we just wish we were there for longer.
Jean was very helpful in recommending places to go around the area.
Thanks again I’m sure we’ll be back next year if not before 🤣🥰

The Stable is located in the rolling countryside of the Welsh borders with magnificent views. The property is perfect for 2, is exceptionally clean and well equipped. The owners Jean & Nick live next door but respect your privacy totally but are on hand for friendly advice, etc. This is our second visit and won't be the last. A unique feature is the ability to birdwatch from the comfort of the sofa in the lounge or indeed the bed. We saw over 20 species of birds in our short, 3 night stay but are sure there are many more. If you like P & Q, this is the property for you.

A great getaway
WOW What a place sat in the hills with the only sound is the birds and sheep, The building was amazing and the information pack was very thoughtful. The Kitchen was packed full of essentials and cleaning products. The shower room was brilliant, but best of all was the views and sunsets and peace.

Stunning, Beautiful, Peaceful … PERFECT
There are not enough compliments to explain how perfect this place is…
From the drive in through the woods and first seeing the Stable, getting out of the car to the sound of nothing but the birds to going inside and seeing the immaculately clean property finished to such a high standard.
There were fresh flowers , beautiful cake and fresh milk in the fridge to welcome us.
Mrs Blake came down to greet us with their Lovely friendly dog. The hosts are close enough if you need anything but are completely private and not at all intrusive.
The weather was gorgeous for us and we were lucky enough to be able to sit outside and watch the birds.
The sky was so clear when it got dark and that gave us another thing to amaze us as we watched the stars and listened to the night wildlife.
You need a car but the property is within distance to plenty of places to visit if you can tear yourself away from the property and it’s surroundings .
There are very few places that we find we enjoy so much we would return but we can’t wait to book again and come back to The Stable, this is our number 1.
Thank you for a lovely stay x
