This is a great location to get some rest. There's nice lake and a beautiful view of Monadnock. Also, lots of birds and animals.

My son and I really enjoyed our time at this cottage and would like to come back in the summer sometime. Since it was cool and rainy a lot we visited towns in the area and did some hiking when the weather was nice. The cottage is cute and comfortable and equipped with all that you will need. Nice grocery nearby and a few restaurants too.

This is our second time renting this property and we were once again happy to have stayed at such a beautiful, tranquil setting. The location was perfect for us being close to Monadnock (hiked again this year!), Keene, and Brattleboro a bit farther away. If you love Indian food, make sure to visit Royal Spice about 20 minutes away in Troy. It is amazing!

Cosy cottage right on lake, perfect for paddleboards (we brought our own) kayaks or canoes to launch from. Well supplied with linens/towels and kitchen gear, as well as a fireplace. Right at end of lane so very quiet. Dining alcove table is awesome place for puzzles. Stairs are steep and bathroom is on second floor, which was not an issue for us but potentially something to be aware of for others. Lovely place would love to go back sometime!

Another perfect vacation on Pearly Pond! One of our most relaxing vacations ever. I asked my 10 year old why she liked staying here and she said “I love the lake, the house is so cozy, and the owners are so nice!” It’s so homey and comfortable, with space to get together and space to grab some alone time. We were still on this year’s vacation when we booked 2 weeks for next year!

We had a wonderful time, the cottage was everything and more. Gary and Linda have put a lot of thought into their property and it shows. I loved reading out by the water, we swam every day. The pond is great for kayaking, so peaceful, actually we never left the cottage all week. Can't wait to come back.

Ideal family vacation
We were very happy with our week stay at Pearly Pond, swimming and boating in the canoe every day with our grandchild and family. ThIs a traditional NH cabin is not fancy, but highly functional with two different screened-in eating areas, small dock and big lawn. We just cooked good food and relaxed. The owners were very responsive to all communication. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect New Hampshire Getaway
We just love staying at this beautiful and serene lakeside cottage with a beautiful view of Mt. Monadnock! It is very quiet, private and clean with lots of homey touches. We end up spending the majority of our time on the large screened porch looking out at the lake, or sitting out on the lawn. Great amenities include sheltered outdoor dining area, dock and canoe, fire pit. This was our second time and we will be going back for more!

Wonderful!
The property was immaculate. The cabana area was plenty large enough for our friends and family to enjoy dinner. Ample lawn furniture to sit and visit and enjoy the view of Mount Monadnock. Would love to visit again.

Idyllic!
Our week here was wonderful! The cottage is cozy and comfortable, the lake is beautiful and the view magnificent. Gary and Linda were charming, helpful, and very easy to communicate with. They included considerate l;ttle touches like extra throws for chilly nights, a 10 lb bag of ice in the freezer, and a variety of Keurig cups for your morning coffee. We hope to be back again!

Had a great stay at this comfortably rustic cottage on Pearly Lake/Pond with a beautiful view of Mt. Monadnock. Owner met us at our arrival and explained all the nuances like the on-demand hot water, water softener, and smart TV. Told us that it was the peak of rhododendron blooming at Rhododendron State Park in nearby Fitzwilliam which we visited twice. We were able to contact the owner directly instead of going through VRBO messaging. All was good!

Relaxin' on Pearly Pond
My husband, daughter, and I traveled from western NC to spend a week with my brother and his wife who live in New Hampshire. We loved staying at the cabin on Pearly Pond with its beautiful view of Mount Monadnock. Gary and Linda were wonderful hosts...we loved the great selection of coffee for the Keurig, fresh roses in the vase in the bedroom, and candies in the living room. The house was clean and everyone thought the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking. We especially enjoyed sitting on the screen porch, kayaking around the pond, and fishing from the dock. We caught several fish including some large bass (which we returned to the lake) and some tasty bream! If you are lucky enough to spend time at this wonderful cabin, we recommend taking a field trip to the
Dublin General Store where you can get HUGE freshly baked cookies including delicious molasses cookies. We also kayaked beautiful Willard Pond in an Audubon sanctuary near Antrim where were saw several loons and wood ducks. We have stayed at numerous houses and cabins around the country, and we enjoyed our stay at Pearly Pond the most!

Wonderful Spot
Gary and Linda are fantastic, very detail-oriented hosts and we loved staying in such a comfortable house right on a lake in very tranquil surroundings. I love swimming and this lake is warmer than any of the many places I have stayed before in New Hampshire, where I have been going since childhood to see family. . We spent most of our time hanging out outside by the lake or on the screened porch with beautiful views of the lake and Mount Monadnock. The location is very convenient to a large grocery store and a NH State Liquor Store. It feels authentic rather than like some Pottery Barn clone which made us very happy.

We had a wonderful week of rowing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, biking on the nearby rail trail to Jaffrey, and hiking Mt. Monadnock. The cottage is very cute and tidy, and it's a very quiet lake (no jet skis). The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, and essentials for eating in. Linda and Gary have done a great job making guests feel comfortable. Grocery stores are nearby as are restaurants and a classic diner. Nearby wooded trail for walking the dog. Overall, a great vacation week!

Given the heat wave of this summer, we wondered if we would find ourselves sweltering in this charming 1900's cottage. However, our stay was delightful. The break in the weather helped (the heat actually came on one morning!), but the pleasant grounds sloping down to the lake, the dock for sitting and enjoying the view, the well equipped kitchen (loved having accessories hanging from the beams and all those seasonings!), the clean and well appointed cottage made for a great week. Our 6 adults, 1 toddler, and 2 dogs fit nicely; the stairs to the bedrooms were quite negotiable, and meals and after dinner games and conversation on the screened porch thoroughly enjoyable.Climbing Pack Monadnock provided an afternoon of good exercise. The view from the top was somewhat limited by the clouds, but non the less spectacular. The blueberries at Monadnockberries (pick your own) were the best we had seen this year. Canoeing on the lake was pleasant (few motor-boaters and the lily pads were in bloom). We enjoyed some time in Peterborough (great bookstore and Arts Center), and the area offers much more than we had time to explore. Although we experienced evening 'fly-bys' of wild geese, none were actually seen swimming or on shore in our area.Had we realized how close we would be to the full service grocery stores (yes, 2 within a few miles) and farm markets, we probably would have packed a lot less food/supplies for the week. The accessibility to Boston was important for the busy young adults in our family, and other than the weekend, the area was quite peaceful. The owners were quite helpful, however we didn't experience and 'emergencies' that required their intervention during our stay.We highly recommend the cottage.

Pearly Pond in August-really 'cool'

You'll not find a better cottage w/a better view
My wife & I have stayed in many places over the years, but this cottage is right at the top of our list of favorites. It's a special treat to actually meet the owners and have them show you where everything is; especially when they're as nice as these owners are.
The cottage is over 100 years old and it's like stepping back in time except for the modern kitchen which we really didn't use because my wife doesn't cook when we're on vacation. Can't say as I blame her. If you want to have a cookout, there's both a charcoal and gas grill on a nice patio.
We would highly recommend JP Stephens restaurant just north on Route 202 for sit down meals and Eds Crossroads Pizza & Subs a few miles west on Route 19 just before the intersection of Route 12.
For nearby antiquing, there's the many shops of the NH Antique Trail east along Route 101A, the Antiques & Collectibles Mall of New England in Greenville, NH and Hobart Village Antique Mall in W. Townsend, MA.
Don't miss Twinkle Town Mini Golf north on Route 12 towards Keene. Where else can you play miniature golf for $3.50/game and $.50 for a second game?
However, the best thing to do is to just chill out at the cottage. Either from lakeside or the enclosed porch, Pearly Pond just washes your cares away. This cottage is on the quiet side of the pond. Our vehicle constituted the bulk of the traffic on Moose Lane while we were there. The only noise came from the other side of the pond. Be sure to bring insect repellent if you want to sit outside at or after dusk.
The only caveat I would offer is the rather steep narrow stairs going up to the second floor where the bedrooms and bathroom are. These could be dangerous to unsupervised children and difficult for anyone with a problem with such stairs. For my wife and myself, they just added to the charm of the cottage.
We can't recommend this property highly enough. If we were to own a cottage on the water in New England, this is the one we'd own. So if you can't afford a cottage of your own, rent this one for a week or two. You won't be sorry.

Peaceful Vacation Spot but near "everything"
When my husband, his parents, and I return to Pearly this summer it will be our third time here. We find it a very relaxing place to stay and we love that the front (waterside) yard is half sun/half shade at all times. There is always a light breeze off the lake so that even when it's hot just a few miles away - it's lovely on Pearly. We also like that it's close to so many stores and things to do, but it doesn't feel like it. It has a very private feel. We kayak a lot, read a bit, and just enjoy sitting outside looking at the beauty of Monadnock in the distance. It is also close enough for our "kids" to drop by and they enjoy the pond as much as we do. It's everything a vacation should be!

Oh, that mountain!
Such a pleasant week was had by all - two adults and our two dogs. The house is immaculate; the yard big enough, and right on the water. Loved the blueberries for pancakes one morning, too. Hammock made my vacation - just lying there in the breeze and sun. Lilly's on the Pond restaurant right down the street; good food, scenic, reasonable prices. Close to Keene for additional sightseeing and restaurants. Lots of antiquing close by. Cathedral in the Pines, also in Rindge, is a must see with a marvelous view of Mount Monadnock in a deeply spiritual setting. Loved that this was so close to home!
(Wish the water were swimable; bacteria count was too high the week we were there.)
