Ideal location for a peaceful stay, rural but with easy access to Lancaster city and the University. The lodge was well-equipped and there was even fresh milk, tea, and coffee left out for us. The owners have thought of everything necessary to ensure comfort and practicality.

The cabin was a home from home. Everything we could have needed. Literally the only thing we could think of adding was some form of egg timer!
Wonderful size space, especially for the price. Not to mention the little touches and additional thoughts, like extea pillow, fans, the local takeaway menus and directions to eateries.
We will definitely be back.

Our second stay here so you can see that we like it. Very quiet with friendly hosts. A modern very well equipped and comfortable log cabin. An individual property on a farm with livery stables looking on to the manage. Easy to find and park. Continue a long the road to Aldcliffe and you can park and walk into Lancaster along the canal . A bustling city with castle and interesting shops. In June 20234 the Cathedral was closed for renovations with only a view through front entrance, South from the property is Condor Green picnic site with a long walk along a disused railway. Interesting bird life.

This little cottage type accommodation is beautiful and so quiet. We would recommend it to anyone who loves the countryside and no internet, we will definitely be back

Lovely place to stay with very welcoming and helpful hosts. We really enjoyed the location and lodge and would highly recommend.

The only thing I missed was that there was no WiFi available at the lodge. This in conjunction with the fact that I only had a poor phone signal made work contact more difficult.

Hosts were friendly and helpful. Lodge is a lot bigger inside than pictures on booking, plenty of space. We were so lucky to have dry weather and explore Williamson Park, Lancaster and the surrounding areas, which were only a 5 minute drive by car. The Stork pub was wonderful for food, which is only nearby, with a friendly atmosphere. Sarah met us at the lodge when we arrived, explained everything, was on hand if needed, but gave us the freedom to enjoy our stay. A truly lovely Lancashire stay!
There was nothing we didn't enjoy!

Such a lovely lodge, perfect facilities, everything you need and really felt like home.
We stayed there with our 8mnth old - a cot and high chair were available and he was perfectly safe exploring the lodge.
The views are beautiful.

Just perfect! Exceeded all expectations thank you so so much! The property was even festively decorated which was unbelievable, the kids were beyond excited for Santa to visit. There really is absolutely everything there you could ever need!
I genuinely cannot recommend lunecliffe enough. We can’t wait to return.

Had a wonderful couple of days here very quiet and peaceful location. The lodge is very well equipped and very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

It is in a beautiful rural location but not too far from the city centre of Lancaster and nearby facilities. The accommodation was very stylish and had the atmosphere of a Scandinavian cabin with lovely views, the Christmas lights and decorations were a lovely surprise on our arrival! Comfortable lounge area, well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. The heating system was excellent, each room was warm and cosy. Having both a bath and shower option suited everyone's needs. Our host was so friendly and welcoming and we would certainly recommend Lunecliffe Country Lodge as a unique place to stay!
There was no Wifi connection at the accommodation but we were aware of this when booking and it did not affect our plans. If anything, it was great to have a peaceful and quiet time when we returned from our days outings and there was a good sized TV with a great family themed DVD collection to choose from!

This is a hidden gem, a home from home, beautiful lodge and surroundings in a tranquil location on the edge of Lancaster. The breakfast hamper was beautiful and plenty. The table & chairs were used in the evenings for family meals. I will book again. Perfect all round
That I had to leave at the end of my booked stay

The chalet was well kept, clean and nicely decorated, it had lovely French windows looking out to a paddock, a fire, and everything you need to be clean, warm, keep the chalet clean. There was a well stocked collection of drinks (teas, coffee, cocoa etc). There was fresh milk in the fridge. Being a livery stable there were horses around, the fields were pleasant and this is probably a nice location for hikers - indeed one taxi driver told us only hikers should stay here. Owners pleasant though we only saw them at check in.
Access was via a 5 min walk on a stone gravel path which was impossible with luggage, and taxi drivers hated driving on it. There was no internet (which the owners state) but also usually no phone signal (we were both on 02) which left us very isolated (and once we could not even phone for a taxi for a half hour as a result). Taxis sometimes did not know the location so we had to walk down the gravel to the main road to find them. Taxi drivers were worried to leave us there and would wait till we got inside the chalet before driving off as it was so isolated. Owners do say it is isolated but this is hidden in the text and the reviews wax lyrical about the location which we do not understand. The view was OK but not great. The walk to the centre of Lancaster is 40 mins according to Google maps and not 25 mins and though we did not try it ourselves the google maps distance is 2.1 miles which agrees with the 40 mins. The breakfast hampers have stopped. To be fair our experience would have been better if we had gone by car rather than public transport, but even then it was just an OK location, not at all idyllic. Also to be fair, the owners' description is adequate - once you have been there you can see that - but the reviews mystify us they are far too positive for a property that in itself - the chalet - is decent enough but not extraordinary at all. I felt I had to write a long review to give potential visitors a fairer picture. As said - you need to have a car to come here when the experience may be better, but the views are quite basic even then.

The stay was brilliant from start to finish. Location was perfect, nice and quiet but close enough to walk into the centre or along the canal. Hosts were extremely friendly and very kindly offered us a lift if we needed one. We loved all the animals wish I'd seen them some more! Would love to come back and experience it fully as we had a wedding to go to on one of the days which is what brought us up there.
