Good and convenient. Very quiet place and beautiful area.

They had hidden prices, I paid more than the amount I got on booking.com The shower head in our needs to be changed, it’s old and we didn’t fully enjoy taking a proper shower. Shower walls need scrubbing. It would be nice if they paid attention to detail, if your reservation says you booking for 2 guests, the expectation is to find towels and drinking glasses for 2 guests not 1. The wi-fi wasn’t great, kept buffering or disappearing completely.

Great location, a bit outdated cottages, nice garden to enjoy, have breakfast, dinner or just a drink. Wifi signal was too weak in the room and around for effective use.

The stay was good But they have to put some extra care for COVID protocol that is very important , which need to be taken very priority and beyond that the toilet has to be renovated need bit space The Lenin also very old

The lodge is a perfect stop over between Jhb and Kasane, where we were going. It is exactly half way. It is not much of a destination lodge as there is not much to do in the area. From the outside it looks a bit dodgy but once you get inside the chalet it is beautifullly clean and comfortable. It is a quiet and relaxing experience, the best rest stop I got to in a long time.

Beautiful setting and super friendly and helpful staff.

The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. The room was spotlessly clean. The environment was relaxing with birds chirping their way around the unspoiled environment.

Poor internet access was a bit of a problem. The noise from neighbour's room or should I say rooms went uncontrolled, sounded like friends of foreign origin chit chatting in their language into the wee hours of the morning without being considerate of their fellow visitors.

Have not have breakfast. Left early.

I like the environment of the lodge....it's countryside. Waking up to the sound of birds and chickens.....It was quite an experience for my kids, even mingling with the Guinea fowls

The reception staff officer was ignorant of their operations. I experienced an issue with double payment.....she didn't follow up my query neither did she hand over to the other staff..... The kitchen staff service was horrible.....They seem not to be confident with their job....e.g one will serve you incomplete meal, breakfast without tea, without bread ......you have to wait until you have to call again and ask Cleanliness of the food is also questionable

Usually, the rooms and common areas are clean when we stay at Phokoje Bush Lodge, but this time the room was exceptionally clean. Also, water pressure in the shower has improved significantly. Well done despite difficult times to operate in due to the headwinds of global inflation!

We are used to friendly staff at Phokoje Bush Lodge and that is mostly still the case. It needs to be mentioned though that the young man who waited the tables at the restaurant in the evening was not accommodating and even disinterested. When he came to the table, his first action was to spit something on the floor that had been bothering him in his mouth. Upon confronting him with this unusual greeting he decided to ignore the issue altogether. Not the kind service that we have become accustomed to over the years, some extra training is in order here. A large part of the menu covers excellent pizza choices and chicken dishes, favourites for our dinners. With most of the chicken dishes and none of the pizza choices available, the dinner turned out to be a let-down. Breakfast and its service was back to the normal friendly and all-encompassing standard the morning after.
