Flat is beautiful. Excellent location. Host lovely would love to return some day.

We stayed 2 months in Paris and this place was really great for that type of a stay. I will say the only caveat is that the beds have very soft mattresses. So if that is what you prefer, then it’s definitely for you. I prefer a harder mattress but luckily there was a rollaway mattress in the closet I used to firm up the bed. It would have been problematic had that mattress not been there so I lucked out. The building is secure and the other residents very friendly. There is an elevator so no worries getting items and people up the stairs. It was wonderful having a wash machine in the kitchen and a place to easily hang clothes to dry. The kitchen is small but well-equipped. We cooked in a lot, buying meat, produce, seafood, cheese and bread from all the local shops. That was a highlight of living amongst the French people. The BEST thing about this adorable apartment is the view of the park directly across the street. We watched not only Montmartre daily life but also Spring and Summer unfold right before our eyes. I had my favorite people to watch as well-‘regulars’ I came to think of them as. Oh and I can’t forget to mention how close we were to the Metro ( a 2 minute walk) and buses 40 and 80. Restaurants in the neighborhood were welcoming and had quality food. The Franprix and G20 Grocery stores are a 10-15 min walk. This was a spectacular experience and Riita and Alban were lovely hosts.

The photos of the apartment are accurate! It is as beautiful and comfortable as it seems! Not to mention it's spotless! We loved all of the antique furniture and glassware and the the overall comfort of every room. What doesn't meet the eye is that Ritta has provided for the guest's every need. The fully equipped kitchen provides the guest with every pot, pan, dish, aappliance and utensil that might be needed. One can easily find cleaning supplies, extra plastic bags, toilet paper, extra blankets...and even more. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We were met by the delightful owner who showed us all we needed to know about the flat and the area around. The flat is full of books and objets d’ art, the kitchen fully equipped and the beds very comfortable. With the bus stop and Metro station very close by, getting into the city is a breeze.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment in what we think must be the best location in Montmartre. Everything was provided for us, Riitta our host was there if we needed her (which we didn’t!). The 100+ year-old apartment is spacious and full of books and interesting pieces, making it feel homely. The location is wonderful and so handy for the metro, and the local individual food shops are a culinary delight … we couldn’t resist eating in, although the plentiful nearby restaurants are also a good bet. Thank you Riitta, next time we’re in Paris we hope your apartment will be available.

The place has seen better days. The cheapest possible toilet seat. Two lumpy single beds stuck together to make it look like a double bed. Ridiculous internet code, problematic television. It's a period piece, memorable but not entirely comfortable. Paper thin walls. Construction in the suite below was problematic. Old style keys and doorlock caused some concern. But overall, be careful what you wish for. It was memorable. We love book-lined shelves. And it was quiet. The best part was the neighborhood itself, the proximity to the Metro and the weekly flea market. If you want something memorable rather than comfortable, go for it. It you want all the mod-cons, don't. It is high price for a detour into nostalgic furniture.

Apartment was perfect. Landlords were friendly And accommodating. Metro and bus 80 were handy for covering the city. Neighborhood was very safe. Overall a great experience!! 5 stars!

the place is lovely but certainly not for small children. it was comfortable and the hosts were very nice. We went into Paris everyday to see things and we took uber because we were a bit confused about metro and bus routes . that added up but we still are glad that we could stay there.

This was a perfect apartment for our mother daughter trip. The property is an amazing. We were looking specifically for a property with character that allowed us to immerse ourselves into a little neighborhood. The owner has taken such care to decorate their home consistently throughout. We hope to return.

We had a fantastic time in Paris in this beautiful apartment. The apartment was perfect in every way for a family of five - cleanliness, size, amenities, location. Communication with the owners was excellent.

This was a great apartment in a wonderful neighborhood with everything within walking distance. The apartment has a kitchen with oven, stovetop, coffee maker, dishwasher, and washing machine for clothes. No dryer however. The Metro station is literally right across the street which was really convenient. The bedrooms are quiet. If you want a smaller 2 bedroom apartment in a wonderful neighborhood then this place is for you. You really get the local Parisian experience. The only downsides are: - if you go in the Summer the bedrooms can be really warm all night - There were people working somewhere near the basement and the hallway was filled with a very strong paint thinner or pesticide smell the entire time we were there. We never found out what it was but it was disturbing to have our daughter breathing those fumes trying to get to the apartment. Other than that, if you are looking to experience Paris like a local then this apartment is for you.

Ritta was wonderful, very helpful and gracious. The apartment is exactly as the photos show - tastefully decorated with antique furnishings. It really does make you feel that you’re a Parisian for a week. I’ve visited Paris a few times, and this was my favourite neighbourhood - by far. So many shops/ grocers/restaurants. And we loved Sacre Coeur and Place du Tertre (8 minute walk). The Metro (line 12) was steps from your door and the 80 bus was great for getting to the area around the Eiffel Tower. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Ritta for sharing your lovely home.

Ritta was very helpful and kind. The area is great for restaurants, shops and getting around the city. Very safe. Apartment is very homey. We would come back again.

For one magical week we experienced the dream of living in a beautiful Parisian neighborhood. We were graciously greeted by Ritta, the lovely and refined owner of this authentically 1900's style home. All the furnishings were very comfortable and exceeded our expectations which were high because of the wonderful pictures provided on VRBO. The location was perfect, a tree filled park across the one way quiet street, little ones and parents skipping to the toddler school at the far end of the street, and a quiet parade of Citroën's enjoying a brilliant Saturday morning. We walked all over Paris by taking a taxi to our destination - Eiffel Tower, Luxembourg Gardens, d-Orsay, etc. and then walking "home." Daily trips to the nearby boulangerie, frommagerie, wine shop, produce shop, grocers, etc. made us feel a small part of this wonderful culture. We made daily trips because we could though the kitchen was modern with large fridge. A highlight was just walking the Montmartre neighborhood away from the touristed areas though we also easily walked to Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge, Place du Tertre, Montmartre Museum. For a week we lived a beautiful dream in this perfect Parisian home.

Beautifully furnished with turn-of-the-century antiques (19th century). Living and dining rooms look out over a small park with large trees. Spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

Phemomenal experience starting with the professionalism and kindness of the property owners. The apartment was a true gem and a great value for the quintessentially Parisien experience complete with views overlooking a garden from the kitchen window and small terrace over a park in the living room. The wooden floors are vintage and the curtains are all ceiling to floor of romantic French toile. The shower has great water pressure! I really enjoyed that. All of the windows open and allow the breeze to flow in. I used the vintage hallway closets that have little wooden drawers for your small things and hangers for your clothes. There are many small amentities like books and board games. We had family game night and I used the basket of guidebooks to discover some local things. The LOCATION is GREAT!! It is steps from the street that leads to the Montmartre Museum and the oldest caberet. Sacre Coueur is just a short walk up the hill from the caberet and Vigne vineyard of Montmartre and the oldest house where Renoir lived. The apartment is around a corner so it's away from all tourists! We loved the Chez Ginette bistro across the street with its bright yellow and black chairs and great service. I walked up and down Rue Caulaincourt to find the bank, supermarket, boulanger, patisserie, cheese shop, butcher shop, chocolate shop, and wine shop. About 10 mins down is the Cemetary Montmartre and beyond that is Moulin Rouge. The home was truly delightful with such pretty decorations and lovely antiques. The children loved it. Compared to other modern apartments we stayed in, this gave us all a true sense of Paris. The other apts could have been San Francisco or New York. This is Paris 100%.

My family and I loved the apartment and location. It was so convenient to be steps from the Metro. The cafe across the street was wonderful. We really felt at home.

This property is located in a beautiful part of Montmartre, overlooking a park. It was amply furnished with everything one might need, including towells, kitchen supplies, plates, etc. The building has a small but helpful lift and seemed very secure. It is furnished in a particular style that may not appeal to everyone but is clearly a labor of love to the owners. The bathroom is tiny and the shower stall is slightly elevated that may provide a challenge to someone with mobility issues. In retrospect I wish that I had asked for a second key. Overall the apartment provided good value for the money.

Wonderful experience living 3 days in this beautiful apartment. the place is full of details, stylish furniture and books that make you feel the true life of a Parisian. very well located, in an area full of good restaurants, supermarkets and most importantly a few meters from the metro. It is as shown in the photos. Riitta and her husband, are very kind and attentive to what you need. I totally recommend it this place.

Close to the Metro and a very short walk to the Sacre Couer. Riitta’s apartment has everything we needed and is beautifully decorated. We had a wonderful stay.

Lived in this neighborhood for 20 years, so I know Paris. Also stayed in many VRBOs, and this one was tops. Alban and his wife have made this place a true gem, walking to Montmartre, cafes, and importantly the 80 bus stop and the Lamarck metro stop which both take you everywhere. A true Paris apartment, clean and perfectly decorated Haussmann style. Had a nice bottle waiting for us and greeted us at the door. Wonderfully time-warped which encouraged long breakfasts overlooking Gallic rhythms in the street and square below as the plane trees turned their autumn colours. And on return gratitude for not returning to an anonymous hotel room.

We arrived on a late evening flight and we were greeted at the apartment by the lovely owners whom were very helpful and welcoming 😊 the apartment is so convenient to the local shops, bars and restaurants and only a hop skip and a jump to the metro station were we travelled to euro Disney relatively easily 👍 and other amazing places. We had a really lovely stay in Paris and could not have wished for a better place to stay. We loved sitting at the balcony each evening and would go back to that apartment again in the future. Thank you so much for allowing us to share your wonderful Parisian gem and also for letting us remain in the apartment until the evening for our return flight home as this gave us another wonderful day to explore!!
