Desde la carretera principal en el interior del país, donde hay el garaje privado, se llega a la villa por un tramo de unos 70 pasos (no muchos por las normas de la costa de Amalfi).
Entrando en la propiedad, recientemente renovada, se abre a una gran terraza con barbacoa y mesas para comer al aire libre y disfrutar de la impresionante vista desde Praiano spazzia querida isla de Nureyev, Li Galli. En la parte inferior de la terraza hay una terraza cubierta donde te puedes sentar fuera, incluso si el tiempo es incierto.
Desde la terraza se puede entrar en una habitación triple amplia con más de diez asientos cómodos donde se puede disfrutar de la televisión vía satélite, equipo de música o conectarse a Internet a través de wifi. El salón se divide en tres salas con arcos y tiene un gran ventanal con vistas al mar con vistas de postal.
Desde el salón se encuentra la cocina, un sueño para cualquier cocinero, espacioso, con una gran mesa para 10 personas, equipada con todos los electrodomésticos necesarios, un horno de leña para pizzas y una esquina con varios incendios a la parrilla de carbón vegetal . En la parte posterior de la cocina es la habitación de lavandería con instalaciones para el lavado de la máquina, secadora y plancha.
La zona de dormitorio en el segundo piso se accede por una escalera de mármol al pie de la cual hay un baño de visitas.
Las tres habitaciones son cómodas y están decoradas con buen gusto. El primer dormitorio tiene una cama doble y está equipada con cuarto de baño con ducha y una pequeña terraza.
El segundo dormitorio es también una cama doble y el tercero es un doble. Las dos habitaciones comparten un baño en el pasillo con doble lavabo, ducha y baño y se abren a una gran terraza soleada todo el día donde se puede tomar el sol en las tumbonas.
La casa está equipada con todas las comodidades modernas como aire acondicionado en las habitaciones, ventilador de techo en la sala de estar, TV vía satélite, internet wifi, equipo de música, caja fuerte, lavavajillas, horno eléctrico, horno de pan, microondas, heladera con freezer, refrigerador para el vino, barbacoa, tostadora, cafetera, lavadora, secadora, plancha y tabla de planchar, aparcamiento cubierto para los coches.

You will love this charming and spacious villa with huge outdoor and indoor space that provides wonderful views of Positano from every level and from every bedroom.
VRBO host Matteo was very friendly and takes great pride in his villla. He gave us a tour of the entire house with instructions on how to use everything. Matteo also provided us with nearby restaurant recommendations and also even helped arrange a private transportation for our group to Bomerano. Grazie mille, Matteo!
The lovely villa is exactly as pictured. Kitchen and multiple living room areas downstairs with a half-bathroom and a huge outdoor deck with sweeping views of Positano. Upstairs, three bedrooms: each bedroom with their own balcony so everyone has the same incredible views. There are air conditioner units in each bedroom if needed.
There is a 150 Euro cleaning fee which should be paid in cash, but that fee is fully disclosed up front when you book the rental on the PDF agreement.
Tip: if coming from the beach, don't take the Google map route (which will be shorter but vertical: all stairs). Take the slightly longer route up to Viale Pasitea which curves around. It's a more gradual ascent (easier on knees), plus you get to see all the great stores and restaurants.
Overall, our group of 5 adults had a completely lovely stay in Positano. I HIGHLY recommend Matteo's Villa on Via Santa Caterina (located between the Hotel Punta Regina and the Chiesa di Santa Caterina). Would definitely stay again!

The only thing more magical and wonderful than the property and location is the owner, Matteo! From arranging dinner reservations and suggesting points of interest to visit and paths less traveled, to getting us the best driver when needed, Matteo is in a class of his own. Our family enjoyed 10 wonderful days in this perfectly located villa owned by Matteo, who was amazingly accommodating with us and very accessible during our whole stay. The villa affords you a panoramic view of the Tyrrhenian Sea, complete with sights and sounds of everyday life. We planned to experience this area as though we actually lived there, with local shopping,our own pasta making and cooking as well as frequenting some of the neighborhood restaurants. You would be well advised to have some Italian under your belt so that you can interact with the locals, which only adds to the already amazing geography of Positano. Bella Positano! We had such a wonderful time at Matteo’s Villa. 6 adults stayed comfortably with all the luxury we needed. Beautiful big kitchen lounging areas, large bedrooms with air conditioning, fabulous patio with the most outstanding views. Our Host Matteo was most accommodating friendly and charming. He arranged car and restaurant reservations for us and was at our beckon call if we needed anything. We would highly recommend this villa. Was in a great location close to the town and relatively short walk to the beach. Thank you Matteo!

My wife and another couple had an amazing stay at Villa Dolphin. The home and patio is gorgeous, clean, and lots of space. The home is also located on the quieter side of Positano which is nice to be out of the touristy area but also easily accessible when you want to drop in. Matteo, our host was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout the entire trip. Highly recommend and Connor wait to come back!

The communication with Matteo was exceptional from the time of booking til after we checked out. Our family (of 3 generations) loved staying in this beautiful home-in the perfect Positano location. Matteo’s recommendations for restaurants, cooking classes & day trips made our stay perfect in every way. We could not have asked for a better host.

However, for the price we thought it needs some love. Also, the AC didn’t work in one room for our entire 5 day stay and we had to keep shutting off the electricity to get it to work for a couple hours. The dryer did not work properly either (later figured out it was because we had to keep shutting the electricity off), one shower was impossible to use half the time because it was running boiling water, and the microwave was dirty (had red sauce inside upon arrival). Also, upon arrival we were told there was a tourist fee and cleaning fee that we had to pay cash for. We were also warned that if would use more than the allowed electricity, we would have to pay extra - which I think is a little odd to charge for considering the price of the villa.

Matteo was a wonderful host. He was very helpful and responsive during the booking and planning process, check in and out was very easy and during our stay he kept checking in to see if everything was ok.
The villa was beautiful, in a perfect location with great restaurants on both sides of the villa. Views were outstanding and was perfect for our family of five. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Positano!

Outstanding property in Positano. Very nice home in a great location. The home is very well equipped and has a parking garage below the home for your car. The owner is excellent to work with and very attentive. Enjoyed the stay very much.

We stayed there the last week of April and it was wonderful! We were a little nervous beforehand, hoping our choice for the week (based on a few pictures and reviews) would live up to our dreams. But as soon as we met Matteo and he gave us the grand tour, we were thrilled! The place was beautifully decorated and maintained, much larger than we expected, and the views were storybook perfect!
The villa was in a great location - very quiet but also quite close to several amazing restaurants and a short 5-10 min walk to the central shopping district. All the taxi drivers and other locals we told about where we were staying also said we were in the perfect spot.
Matteo was a great host- he was friendly and very responsive to all our questions before and throughout our stay. He welcomed us with delicious fresh local oranges and lemons, which were a delightful treat each day. We spent a busy week visiting all around the Amalfi coast and Capri, but enjoyed returning each evening and waking up each morning to the amazing views. Whether you just want to relax around the villa, cook in the spectacular kitchen, or dine out and explore, we’d highly recommend this place to stay!

This villa was exactly what we were looking for and Matteo was a fabulous host. The location is ideal for being close enough to everything, while also having your space from the crowds. There are many choices for good restaurants within a few minutes walk - the kind of places where you are made to feel like a local. We cannot say enough great things about Matteo - from the pre-arrival arrangements, meeting us for check-in, providing restaurant recommendations, to sharing aperitifs at the local beach club. He truly helped make a great trip even better and we hope to stay in touch.

When staying in Positano, it’s important to stay where you’ll be able access your property door without climbing too many steps from the street. It’s also good to make sure you are close enough to the restaurants, shops and beaches without being in the middle of the action. This home is in a great location.
Matteo and his family have owned and cared for this property for many years, and welcome you like family. The home is lovely and has everything you need. If you come at the hottest time of the year, keep in mind that the bedrooms are air conditioned but the main living spaces aren’t. This seems typical in Positano which I didn’t know. Most days, the doors and windows can open to a lovely breeze coming in off the water.
Everything was there that one needed, I realize after staying in European properties that the mattresses are very firm, just keep that in mind.
The home has lovely furnishings and accessories, I felt like I was staying at a family home.
I recommend staying at this property, you will love it.

The villa was simply amazing!!! Restaurants , shopping and the beaches were near by. We did not need a car. Our host Matteo was the best! He was prompt to answer my many questions, always able to assist! All of his recommendations were perfect! I have stayed at many VRBO's and no one compares to Matteo! We hope to return soon!

Perfect in Positano
The villa is absolutely perfect. Spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The views are breathtaking from all three patios. The kitchen is fully equipped. We were able to make some amazing family dinners in addition to going out for some great meals. The area around the villa has shopping and very good restaurants. The host Matteo helped our family through a couple of situations - illness and a theft prior to our arrival in positano. He helped us maneuver obtaining appointments, medicine, reports and so on. He also made us dinner reservations and had the greatest local recommendations. Best rental we've ever had. We will be back, for sure!!

Welcome to Paradise
This has to be the most beautiful Villa and spot in Positano! It was beautiful with a huge deck with amazing views! The Villa is very large and every bedroom has a deck and view. Mateo helped us with our way too many suitcases and was so very nice and helpful. There are so many great restaurants and shops within a short walk. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Positano. Thank you Matao for making our stay in Positano a trip to Paradise!

Wonderful time in Positano
This place was perfect for our family. It was centrally located in the town. So nice inside with plenty of room. The views are incredible. Has a/c in the bedrooms. Matteo was wonderful - he promptly greeted us, helped us find restaurants and things to do, and made sure we were ok. Would totally stay here again. Can’t say enough good things.

OUR FAMILY HAD A WONDERFUL STAY AT THIS VILLA. THE LOCATION OF THE PROPERTY IS WONDERFUL. THE VIEWS FROM THE TERRACES AND BALCONIES WERE SPECTACULAR.THE PROPERTY WAS CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND CLOSE PROXIMITY TO SHOPPING,RESTAURANTS AND BEACH.LOVED OUR STAY.
WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH MATTEO, THE OWNER. HE COMMUNICATED PROMPTLY WITH US ,WELCOMED US AND WAS THERE TO HELP US WITH ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. MY WIFE HAD SPECIAL REQUEST FOR BREAKFAST . Property is exactly as internet pictures but being there is difficult to put into words. Sitting on the terrace drinking coffee was like a dream. All rooms spacious - the kitchen was huge and contained everything necessary! I will stay there again ASAP!

Amazing in Every Way
We had 4 adults and two kids for our first trip to the Amalfi Coast and Positano. Everything about our stay in Villa Dolphin was amazing. The home is charming and spacious with views of the water from basically every room. The kitchen is beautiful and the patio is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee and croissant or an evening dinner outside. The location is perfect as well with everything in easy enough walking distance.
The best part of it all though is the owner, Matteo, truly one of the nicest, friendliest and most helpful people you will meet. He went above and beyond to make sure all our questions were answered, our needs were met and our experience was memorable. By the end of the trip we felt like we had a new friend in Positano.
Thank you Matteo for everything, we hope to be back soon!

My wife and I have been to Positano before but were taking our children for the first time. We wanted to make sure the space was comfortable and most importantly located in a great location to walk to key places.
This location is great. It is above the smaller, quieter beach location. An easy walk down to the beach. However - if you want to go to the main town walk and beach it is also an easy walk down the road to get you there. It makes for a quiet stay with easy access to everything.
The villa is spacious - main living on one level and all bedrooms on the second. There are THREE terraces to behold the AMAZING views.
We were there on the 4th of July and had the extra benefit of a fireworks show from the terrace. Awesome.
Matteo was a wonderful host. Very helpful for all needs while there. His suggestions for restaurants while there were spot on.

Our stay in Positano could not have been better. Dolphin Villa was better than advertised. The home was spacious and fully equipped. And the outdoor spaces were more than satisfactory. With a view that takes your breath away.

We had 6 adults and 1 baby, which some may argue that Positano isn’t baby-friendly, but we actually had a very smooth trip with him. Our host, Matteo, was the best host I’ve ever come across. From the time of booking, to checking out, he was extremely responsive and helped with any questions I had. He even accommodated for the baby and provided a crib, that he attempted to set up which was above and beyond. He also scheduled a car to pick us up last minute on our departure day to get us to Naples. He assisted with bringing our luggage up and down the stairs as well, which he didn't have to do, but he did not hesitate! His kindness and superb hospitality made this trip even more special and I will never forget it. There were about 70 steps to get to the villa, but honestly by day 2, you get pretty used to it, along with all of the other steps in the town. On our final night, we watched the fireworks from our terrace on Fornillo Beach for the fish festival. This was the perfect ending to a perfect vacation. It was truly the most amazing trip and I will certainly be back to the Villa Dolphin! Thank you again Matteo! Xoxo

This villa is in the most wonderful setting. It has every amenity to provide a wonderful haven in which to relax at the end of the day exploring in and around Positano.... or even just to relax in all day! The hospitality and support offered by Matteo is second to none. We enjoyed a truly wonderful family holiday here.
