Great place in the pines, it snowed all 3 days just beautiful on the trees, owner had drive plowed for us

We finally had a chance to get away for some peace and quiet, and picked the Mountain Retreat in Pine - it was just right. In a quiet, treed neighborhood of large lots, the cabin was cute, casual, comfy and cozy. Perfect size for us. The living room was shared with a compact kitchen that covered all the basic needs, the bath was nice with a tub/shower, and the bed was firm and comfortable. There was one TV with DirecTv, so we got to watch a couple Suns basketball games. A bit chilly early in the day, but we still had our morning tea on the covered front porch, and watched a few Elk meander through the neighborhood. Our little pooch, who has deer friends at our place in MT, was very disappointed they didn't come to the porch to say hi! The dog also enjoyed the large, fenced backyard. We walked a couple times through the neighborhood. Many of the homes were not in use - so quiet and tranquil. We very much enjoyed some of the local restaurants - great breakfast one day at The Early Bird Cafe, and a yummy carryout pizza the next at Old County Inn. There is also a small market just around the corner for basic groceries. We walked the trails at Tonto Natural Bridge State Park, and hoped to go the Native American Ruins, but decided against it when we discovered there were many steep stairs. Everything was great, and the owner was helpful - she returned a call almost before I finished the text to her! Wish we had planned to stay a couple more days. Next time!

We enjoyed the cabin, everything worked and there was plenty of cookware to cook with, the bed was comfortable , which is so important.We enjoyed watching movies on Direct TV and also getting out to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the area with plenty of wildlife to enjoy. We were here on a Monday and Tuesday so it was very quiet, however if you like going out to dinner you may have to drive to Payson , there were only a couple of places open.

Perfect little getaway for our anniversary. Cozy little place full of Serenity. We had a relaxing trip away from the hustle of life. Had coffee on the porch and watched elk graze right in the front yard. Our host was great. She Checked in on us via text to make sure we comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Loved the location, very close to everything we needed. Cute little house with a large backyard, wish we would have brought our dog! Property manager was super fast to respond when we had a little problem late at night. Easy to check in and out

We were there for 5 nights and had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Everything was just as shown. The cabin was very nice with a great front and back yard. Enjoyed sitting on the front patio in the late afternoon or early evening and seeing all the Elk pass by. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet and enjoyables getaway.

The property was clean, exactly as described and close to all of the restaurants as well as off road riding. It was the perfect get away for a couple. With Elk roaming around daily, made it fun to enjoy the wildlife. Ann was a great host answering all questions we had quickly. I would recommend this home for a north country get away.
