The room was large and comfy and the grounds were beautiful. I would definitely recommend it! While not a negative for us, it should be noted that breakfast was not on site. We received a voucher for a restaurant a couple of blocks away. Enjoyed our conversations with the owner. Overall, it was a great stay.

David was an excellent host, the history of the building and town was very interesting.

Great location in the historic section of Natchez. Walkable to park on the Mississippi, shopping and dining. Fabulous host, David, who opened up his home to us and shared interesting stories. We felt very welcome, as did our dog. What a find!

Breakfast was NOT on premises, but we were issued vouchers to eat at a restaurant. It turned out fine, but we would have preferred to have our breakfast at the Choctaw House as this is supposed to be a BED and BREAKFAST. The house is filled to the brim with original furniture and antiques.

Excellent location, walking distance to main places in town. Friendly staff. Breakfast coupon for a different location.

The only drawback to this property is the rooms are so close together you don't have much privacy. You can hear conversations, etc. It is like being in a house with others. The historic home and grounds are lovely!

David is a true Jewel of the South! Southern hospitality at it's finest!

Lovely and unique experience

The host is very eccentric and delightful and gave us a wonderful tour and potted history of his house which he had inherited from his grandmother. Excellent location - close to the Natchez Brewery where we ate both nights - characterful venue with great beer. Easy walking distance of all downtown sights. Room was great size and access to a communal kitchen area with lots of drinks and snacks It is so much nicer to stay overnight in a traditional house instead of yet another boring modern box which is all the big hotel chains have to offer. Breakfast was in different cafes on both days, was complementary (vouchers) and very good.

Unusually I don't have any complaints!
