The owner made us feel welcome and provided great information that enhanced our visit: tips on where to go and what to do. The house is quite clean and comfortable, as well as unique and charming.

Overall we had a great stay at this property. The interior was well maintained and had a lot of character which we loved. The kitchen had all the conveniences of home for making your own meals along with pod and regular coffee makers. The bathrooms could be a little cleaner but they weren’t awful. The curb appeal could use some help but that could have been because of the time of year. The next door neighbor came out to meet us and was really nice. Loved walking down the block to Markey’s bar and around to the neighborhood shops. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Mark for being responsive to our needs and questions.

We could not be happier with our stay! The house was comfortable, well-equipped, and absolutely adorable with a ton of character. It is also in a truly awesome neighborhood. The local joints were friendly and had some of the best food we ate all vacation. We walked to the French Quarter several times (with two kids, 7 and 10) and it was quick and easy. Mark is a superb host, easy to communicate with, and full of recommendations.
It was honestly hard for my family to leave. We were there for over a week and got very attached to the charm of both the house and Bywater. Highly recommend. A perfect New Orleans experience!

Absolutely loved this property! So much so I have added it to my top VRBO locations and I would love to stay here again....next time with my spouse. Beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. Didn't have enough time to spend in the neighborhood but on the next visit will do so.

Location is brilliant for exploring the neighborhood on foot, walks to the quarter or the occasional drive around town. Quiet, spacious, cool in the afternoons. Great communication and in the moment recommendations from property owners. Friendly neighbors. Can't say enough!

The house is gorgeous, well-equipped and really comfortable. It can get a little cold in the winter but it has heating, and must be great at keeping cool in the hotter months. Mark was very nice and helpful, and the check-in process was simple. But it's the location that really does it - a beautiful neighbourhood full of character and characters, and just a 20 minute walk from Frenchmen Street. Loved it!

It was everything I was hoping for. The house was just as described, the neighbors are so friendly and helpful. I wanted to be in a place with a neighborhood feel and that's just what I got. There are several restaurants and coffee shops, all within an easy walk. Frenchman St and the French Quarter are less than a mile away. The house was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The kitchen was well stocked not only with pots and pans but all kinds of condiments. If I ever had a question Mark responded immediately. He was so helpful and so patient. I don't think there could be a nicer person than Mark. I stayed a month and could have stayed longer.

Annual NOLA Adventure
An annual trip for us fly fishing and taking in the flavors of NOLA. The property was perfectly located and suited our needs.

The house was just as it said in the ad, cute and within walking distance to a few restaurants and bars. There was a nice list there when we checked in, that helped us get around the neighborhood. It is close to the french quarter. If you are planning on cooking a lot when you are there you will need to bring some kitchen supplies, but it was well stocked with glasses and plates.

Spacious 2 bedroom apartment in Bywater
The apartment was comfortable and spacious. The front porch is wonderful for drinking morning coffee and saying hello to the neighbors as they walk their dogs. The location is near several restaurants, Crescent park, and eclectic stores. The hosts were friendly and available if needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Spacious, charming, well-appointed. VERY New Orleans - felt more like a home than a rental.
Everything was great - room to gather snd room for everyone to have their space. Bathrooms are modern and the whole place was stocked with anything you might need.
Inciting front porch and back patio. Courteous neighbors in a great location. Lots of charm inside and out! The owners are wonderful as well - helpful and friendly.

The BEST in every way--could not be better.
This is a peaceful, tasteful, comfortable place where you can feel at home. The furnishings are great, the Wifi is strong, there's a back patio for sitting outside. You can explore the lovely, artistic neighborhood of Bywater. All of New Orleans is accessible so you can hop out for music, an event, or food, and then return to your peace and quiet. Most of all the landlord is wonderful. Could not be better!

Comfortable home in a friendly neighborhood
The house is a classic shotgun style, well-appointed and well-maintained, and just steps from nice restaurants and bars. Bywater is a funky and very friendly neighborhood. The renters in other portions of the property were delightful. The kitchen isn't really equipped for any major cooking, but who wants to do much cooking (besides making peel-and-eat shrimp) in New Orleans when there are so many wonderful restaurants in easy walking distance? All in all, the house was very comfortable and we (including our dog) had a great stay.

Traveled Back In Time
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Bywater. The house was very comfortable and the neighbors were friendly and welcoming; it felt like a home away from home. We felt like we had stepped back into a different time. We fell in love with the area, although we didn't have a lot of time to explore since we were in town to spend Thanksgiving with relatives in a different part of New Orleans. There were a number of very good places to eat and have a drink within easy walking distance; we had the opportunity to try two for breakfast and two for dinner. We finished out our last night with a nightcap at the little bar right down the street. We also appreciated being able to bring our dog with us. We will definitely be back.

clean place in a cute neighborhood
This shotgun style house is in a really cute area - around the corner from an excellent brunch spot and antiques place (there's your morning right there!) and caddy corner from a neighborhood bar. We also found it easy to walk to Frenchman St and the Quarter but to preface that, we enjoy walking and the weekend was cool. Owners were communicative and check in was super easy!
