We had a great stay at this house! My fiance and I spent 8 days at the house and had an amazing time. We spent a lot of time sitting on the great outside deck enjoying the view. Walk able to the ferry into Portland for the day. But Peaks is such a beautiful island that we could have spent the entire time on the island and at the house. Highly recommended and if we go back to Portland we would definitely stay here again.

Our far flung family gathered here in August and we all had a delightful time. Finding a cradle for one grandson and a little couch for the 6yr old was a lovely surprise too.

Nice, clean, well equipped house on Peaks within easy walking distance to the ferry.

We had a great time at the house- it is close to the ferry dock, as well as the rocky beach, and came with everything we needed for our stay.

Spent a long weekend at Peek A Boo with family, the house was beautiful, clean and spacious (comfortable and roomy for 8 adults in our group). Great location, close enough for a quick bike or walk to ferry and market, but still quiet and peaceful at night. Great views from the master bedroom and yard. The back patio was perfect for morning coffee, lobster dinner and having drinks with family and friends. Home owner Kathrin was very helpful and attentive, we all enjoyed our stay! Can’t wait to return to Peaks!

We rented Peak-A-Boo for our family vacation this year. There was ample space for 6 adults and one kid. The location is great, it’s within walking distance of the ferry, beaches, and stores/restaurants. Basement bonus room was the perfect place for our kiddo who loved the bunk beds, toys, and books. The home is very comfortable, there’s plenty of room to gather in the kitchen or on the porch. The owner was very helpful and responded very quickly to my (many) questions! Overall the perfect experience for us. Thank you again!

We had a great time at this property. It’s so convenient to Down Front and the water. The first floor living space is very spacious (doesn’t look as big in the photos!). The house is beautifully decorated and maintained. Kathrin was also super sweet and accommodating. We’d happily book here again!

We rented this home for a family vacation and had a great time. The house is charming, well equipped, clean, and comfortable to hang out in. The view off the back deck and from the master bedroom also makes for a nice place to hang out.

Peaks Island is tons off fun and we enjoyed staying on the island for a week. The house was nice and had everything we needed for a week.

My husband and I shared this lovely home for a week with friends and we couldn't be happier! The master bedroom is glorious, with a lovely view of the bay! No one else suffered either - with the same gorgeous view from the living room and deck. Fantastic place and really comfortable. We had a few foggy, rainy days while on Peaks and the house was a great place to relax. Great kitchen for a rental property with plenty of room for us to cook breakfast for a crowd. The owner, Kathrin, was fantastic throughout the entire process. Very responsive to questions and supplied great information and tips on the island, in particular, the ferry system. If we venture to Maine from Colorado again, we'd definitely look to stay here again!

The house was conveniently situated, yet quiet and private, with an attractive ambience, nice garden, washer dryer, and view of the water. We loved the vibe of the island and all it had to offer. We will definitely come again.

I booked this house with some trepidation due to the fact that there weren't too many reviews, but then I found out it has only recently come on the VRBO rental market. My family and I have been coming to Peaks for over 20 years and we just love the wonderful feel to this Island. Friendly people, so close to Portland for day or evening trips in town, good restaurants right around the corner, a fully stocked market-"if we don't have it, you don't need it". And now the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae (oh yes, there is an ice cream shop a short 5 minute walk away), this HOUSE!! It is perfect in so many ways. It has a side porch for entry, a back deck for sipping your morning coffee or having your afternoon beer. The layout of the house is great too-nice, fully stocked, spacious kitchen and dining area, open living room with access to the deck, a spiral staircase down to a neat bunk bedded room. The living room also has a wood burning stove (we didn't need to use it). Upstairs are three beautiful bedrooms, the master with its own bathroom, and the shared bathroom has a wonderful clawfoot bathtub!. This house can easily accommodate two families with plenty of room to spare. As the previous review stated: This is the house you want to be in. It is only a 5-8 minute walk to the ferry and all the stores and restaurants on the Island. It is another 5 minute walk to the sandy beach. The location is perfect in every way. You will be so happy you came to Peaks Island and came to stay at this "Beautiful getaway on Peaks Island"

This house has it all and is a great spot. Don’t look anywhere else on Peaks, this is the spot you want. Tons of room, great views, cardinals everywhere!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a long weekend at this charming house on Peaks Island. We took the car ferry from Portland (both quick and convenient) and parked in front of the house within 2 minutes of deboarding. From the moment we walked in, we knew we’d found a place to return to. The kitchen was spacious and perfect for lounging and making a full meal. Just off the kitchen is a full bath (with washer and dryer!), and on the other side — a welcoming living room with a wood stove and a view of the water. The bedrooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The master has an ensuite bathroom and windows that capture beautiful views. We loved waking up and immediately seeing (and hearing) waves in the distance. Kathrin is incredibly responsive and a pleasure to book with. She responded to our initial request, payment confirmation, and specific questions very quickly. We couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable stay on Peaks Island. We’ll be back! Elaina and Ross
