Large apartment with two balconies, equipped kitchen, 3 minutes walk from the old town. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. The bathroom was spacious, we were provided with several towels, there was milk and mineral water in the fridge. Very good restaurants, supermarket nearby.

The garage is a 3 minute walk from the apartment, which is not a problem, but it was a bit of a hassle with the luggage. The host lady does not speak English, only her husband. On leaving, unfortunately only the lady came to the apartment and wanted to explain to us something in Italian, which we didn't understand, and she got a bit upset. Because of the nearby restaurants and bars, there is loud music and noise every night, which can be disturbing.

The flat was really spacious with every facility we could possibly need. There is also a roof terrace shared with one other apartment but there was no-one staying there so we had it to ourselves. The flat is super clean and we were really comfortable here - it looks even nicer than in the photos. The hostess Carmela and her friends who met us when we arrived were really friendly and helpful. Great place to stay.

The location couldn’t be better. With the apartment being just across the street from the centro storico and everything you could possibly want in order to have a non-tourist’s view of Martina Franca within just a few blocks of the apartment, the location is a 10+++. Within these few blocks there is a choice of two fantastic bar pasticcerias, a rosticceria with delicious offerings that change daily (menu can be found on FB page), a green grocer, a salumeria, un caseificio (place that makes cheese, with fresh cheeses like mozzarella, made daily), a paneficio for fresh bread, a frantoio with some of the best olive oil you’ve ever tasted (and nice selection of gift-sized oils and oil products to take/ship home), and a personal favourite, the macelleria braceria/fornello pronto (places where you select the meat you want and they roast it for you over embers, for takeout or to eat on the premises. Try the bombolette, a local specialty). Lots of restaurants to choose from in the centro storico and too many pizzerias to count… As for the apartment itself, it’s a lovely accomodation with all the conveniences, including a dishwasher, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, heated towel rack, dining room table and kitchen table for two. There are two small balconies, one on the front street, one off the bedroom in back. From the minute we walked in the front door and saw a bouquet of fresh flowers in the entry, and entered the apartment and were greeted with fresh flowers there, as well, we had the impression that these hosts care about the experience their guests have, and go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your stay. The furnishings are comfortably elegant. The bed has a really good mattress and even the sofa bed was comfortable, with a meshwork providing comfortable support for the mattress instead of those ones with bars that are impossible to sleep on. We appreciated finding provisions like coffee, milk, three big bottles of water, cookies, etc.

Location was very convenient, close to the centro storico or train station. Apartment was big and spacious but cosy at the same time. Everything was in a good condition, big windows were a great thing because there is no many such light apartments in Martina Franca, specially in old town! Very well equipped.

Carmela was a delight. The apartment was well located, the old town was right across the street. The standouts however were the small touches. Fresh roses on the table and in the lobby. Beautiful linen with extra pillows and blankets. Enough supplies to put together a light breakfast. Even Christmas decorations appeared as well. Unlike a lot of self catering accommodation everything worked! The apartment was also a good size and a nice place to return to after a busy day sightseeing places like Locorotondo, Alberobello and Cisternino and of course the beautiful Martina Franca itself. Carmela even drove us to the Station on the day we departed.
