Pros: Good location. Nice house. Lots of room. Cons: owner complained that we used too much water (confirmed with pool company that we refilled the pool after use). Three people in our family went home with lice. Narrowed down to bedding in the 2nd flr bunk bed room. Property manager was not concerned about informing future guests. Advise to request proof of fumigation/pest control before booking.

My extended family and I enjoyed our vacation at Shore Beats II greatly. The property was clean, spacious, so many amenities and perfectly located to everything. The pool was incredible and cleaned/serviced during our stay. The beach was close and perfect for early morning walks. The drive on beach was close by as was shopping, the historic Corrolla Village and so much more. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a great OBX vacation!

Shore Beats work for sure! We really enjoyed our vacation, It was so convenient that each room has it’s own bathroom, this is a huge plus specially if have different families in you party. Also each room has it’s own deck which it’s also amazing! Everyone enjoyed the pool table in the basement as well as the outdoor area. The only thing is that is was s little further from the beach then expected it about a 10 min walk. Cleanliness needs to be a little better in our opinion, we had to clean out the fridge before putting our groceries because it was very dirty. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed our stay at Shore Beats Work!

The late check-in time after an 8 hour drive with 7 children was a big negative. Otherwise it was an enjoyable vacation.

Nice getaway in Corolla, but a few issues
This is my fourth trip to OBX and my first time staying in Corolla. I’ve rented a different house each time. Each has its pros and cons. This one was great for the number of people we had - we were 12 adults and 3 kids and no one ever fought for the bathroom. The kitchen seating and counter space was good. The pool area was nice with plenty of chairs and the deck space on each level was great. The kitchen was lacking any hand towels or oven mits which was a bit problematic. The kitchen fridge ice maker was dirty and made ice with dirt specs in it. The bedrooms got quite stuffy while the rest of the house was cool. One bedroom had a ceiling fan that was broken and made a lot of noise. One bathroom sink clogged after running water for about ten seconds. The bathrooms had no floor mats so we had to use towels to step on and not enough were provided. The checkin was later than any other I have explained experienced which was hard after a two day, 15 hour journey. I’m not sure I’ll use this rental place again for just that reason.

When we arrived, the place was dirty. It looked like the floors had not been cleaned in weeks. They advertise WIFI - what a joke!!! It was only in one small area of the first floor. The main living area and master bedroom are on the third floor so we had no WIFI. We stayed for 2 weeks and no one came to clean or give us clean linens - this is below standards. We had a major ant infestation and had to call 3 times before anyone came out - we couldn't use the living area which is the only place there was a TV. On a positive note, the pool was nice and the surrounding area. Lots of decks and deck furniture. The beds were comfortable as well, but need to have TVs in the bedrooms.

The house in Corolla was better than we expected. The house had plently of space for 12, and each room having a bathroom was a plus. I have never been in a place with 2 dishwashers, but we found that this to be a great plus. The only thing we wished to have was a garbage disposal.

My overall impression of this property was favorable. The place is equipped with anything you may need on a beach house for any age group. Communication with some property staff over the phone can be improved, but overall my family and I had a fantastic time. So far, one of the top 5 best vacations we have had.

Awesome rental for a large family. We had 16 people and felt like we had plenty of room! Lots of beach accessories provided and close to shops! I gave a 4 on cleanliness only cause fingerprints we all over the sliding door from a little kid.... Just likely got missed in the cleaning process otherwise it was great!

We had a great week with 12 family members attending our summer vacation ranging in age from 3 to 60+. The house was exactly as advertised and even had bikes to use! We found that the kitchen was overly stocked with dishes, cups, blenders, coffee makers, pots & pans, etc. We had a few minor issues and the reality company was very responsive in resolving them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Everything was perfect!! The home was beautiful and clean great location loved the pool and all of the extras!! Spent time playing games on the screened in porch and kitchen table and having pool tournaments with the whole family!! I would suggest this place to anyone!! This is our 3rd year staying at Shore Beats Work 2. We travel with another family and it is very accommodating for all of us. They have several bikes to enjoy, floats for the pool, beach chairs, etc. that make it very nice.

Best Stay Ever
Our family vacations for a week every summer at different destinations. By far, this was the best. We enjoyed our stay, the house was fantastic, comfortable for the group, but also provided the ability for alone time.

We stayed here several times and love the house however this year we were disappointed in a few things. 1. Not as clean as usual. 2. bikes all had their chains off 3. shed with all the chairs, boards etc was missing the key; couldn't open it till Thursday. One person was very professional and kind but others were not, failing to get back with us and dismissing the matter like it was no big deal. I am booking several other rentals in the next two years and instead of beach reality being my go to spot I'm looking at other options as well now. Just being honest. And this property is going up in cost every year now. A little disappointing visit this year but we still love the place and will come back next year for another go of it.

First, we were extremely impressed with EVERYTHING about this home. It was extremely well stocked and had everything you could think ok, from bikes to pool toys to beach chairs. The kitchen was impressively stocked as well, as a family who cooks a lot and always pack favorite knives and cookware...there was no need to do so. Another thing that we were impressed with was how comfortable the beds/pillows were!!! The walk to the beach wasn’t that far and most of us (adults) didn’t mind that walk at all...however our 7yr and 2yr old didn’t really enjoy it. :) We had the pool heated, and it was absolutely worth every single penny...the temp stayed between 78-80 degrees our entire stay. We had a great time at this house and in Corolla. We will definitely be back!!!!!!!
